A 41 anni da Woodstock con i suoi tre giorni di “Peace and Music”, Pace e Musica, a Cesena ci sarà una due giorni di “Futuro e Musica”, Woodstock 5 Stelle.
41 years after the Woodstock with its three days of “Peace and Music”, at Cesena there will then be two days of “Future and Music”, Woodstock 5 Stars.

Inizierà nel pomeriggio di sabato 25 e finirà a mezzanotte della domenica.
It’ll start in the afternoon of Saturday 25 and it’ll finish at midnight on the Sunday.

Non ci saranno Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Joan Baez, The Who, Janis Joplin e The Greateful Dead, ma trenta gruppi e musicisti italiani.
There won’t be Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Joan Baez, The Who, Janis Joplin and The Grateful Dead, but there will be 30 Italian groups and musicians.

E’ per questo che ho organizzato Woodstock 5 Stelle, per potermi finalmente esibire come Ray Charles di fronte a un pubblico amico.
This is why I have organised Woodstock 5 Stars, so that I can finally show myself off as Ray Charles in front of a friendly crowd.

E’ il vero obiettivo nascosto.
That’s my true hidden agenda.

Mi eserciterò tutto il mese di agosto per stupirvi.
I will practise for the whole month of August so as to surprise you.

Woodstock 5 Stelle ospiterà le voci di esperti mondiali dell’acqua, dell’energia, dell’ambiente, dell’economia.
Woodstock 5 Stars will play host to the voices of world experts on water, on energy, on the environment, on the economy.

Due giorni per pensare, discutere tra un brano e l’altro, tra un abbraccio, un bacio, sdraiati sull’erba, al mondo che vorremmo.
Two days for thinking, have discussions between one turn and the next, between a hug, a kiss, stretch out on the lawn, for the world that we’d like to have.

All’utopia che può diventare realtà.
Thinking of the utopia that can become reality.

Il rumore sordo, insignificante, continuo che invade le nostre vite, quel rumore che non è solo un suono, ma anche un odore nauseante, anche mani sudate, l’odore del nulla dei politici e dell’informazione che ci avvolge, quel rumore durante Woodstock 5 Stelle sarà lontano, e verrà trasformato in un album dei ricordi sgradevoli per la raccolta differenziata.
The deaf noise, the insignificant one that invades our lives, that noise that is not just a sound, but also a nauseous smell, even sweaty hands, the smell of the nothingness of politics and of the information that wraps us up, that noise during Woodstock 5 Stars will be distant, and it will be transformed into an album of unpleasant memories for selective recycling.

A Cesena ci sarà la nuova generazione di italiani, quella dei giovani che è stata spogliata di tutto, dall’ambiente, al lavoro, al progetto di una famiglia, ma soprattutto della speranza, della felicità.
In Cesena there’ll be the new generation of Italians, the generation of those who have been stripped of everything, of the environment, of happiness.

Che cos’è un Paese senza speranza e senza felicità?
What is a country without hope and without happiness?

Nessuno regalerà nulla a questi ragazzi.
No one will make a gift of anything to these young people.

Devono fare tutto da soli.
They have to do everything on their own.

Prendersi il Paese entrando nelle istituzioni, nei Comuni, nelle Regioni e nel Parlamento.
They have to take hold of the country by moving into the institutions, into the Town Halls, into the Government of the Regions and into Parliament.

Devono fare una pulizia scientifica, totale dei partiti che non rappresentano nulla e delle convenzioni, delle etichette come destra e sinistra, progressista e conservatore.
They have to do a scientific cleansing a total cleansing of the parties that represent nothing, and of the conventions, of the labels like Right wing and Left wing, progressives and conservatives.

Il mondo di domani non avrà delegati che decidono delle nostre vite, ma cittadini che partecipano alla vita pubblica.
Tomorrow’s world will not have delegates that make decisions about our lives, but citizens who participate in public life.

Ho ricevuto un numero straordinario di adesioni da parte di band e musicisti.
I’ve received an extraordinary number of requests to participate from bands and musicians.

Non ho potuto dire di sì a tutti, anche se avrei voluto, per farlo avrei dovuto organizzare una settimana intera.
I couldn’t say “yes” to them all, even though I would like to have organised a whole week.
