Bossi è l’erede di Giuseppe Garibaldi. Il suo vero sogno è uno stato nazionale, centralista, magari un po’ fascista. Quando racconta la storia dei Comuni pensa in realtà a Giulio Cesare e alle glorie dell’Impero Romano. Va a Pontida negli incontri pubblici, ma in privato visita i Fori Imperiali e si reca in gita a Predappio.
Bossi is Giuseppe Garibaldi’s heir. His true dream is a national state, a centralist one, perhaps even a bit fascist. When he tells the story of the “Comuni” in fact, he is thinking of Julius Cesar and the glories of the Roman Empire. He goes to Pontida for public meetings but in private he visits the Imperial Forums and he goes on outings to Predappio.
La Lega è un partito federale, ma solo in periodo elettorale. Passata la festa, gabbato il valligiano bergamasco. Bossi è più furbo di Andreotti, più calcolatore di Gelli, più panzanaro dello psiconano. Un grande Padre della Patria. Si merita una statua equestre in piazza Venezia.
The Lega is a federalist party, but only during the election campaign. Once the partying is over the man from Bergamo’s valleys is derided. Ha fatto più la Lega per l’affermazione di Roma Caput Mundi e dell’unità nazionale che ogni altro partito apparso in Italia, a parte il fascismo.

Da quando la Lega è al Governo, in meno di un anno, ha ottenuto risultati strepitosi per il federcentralismo:

– ha eliminato l’Ici, unica vera tassa federale, per i Comuni
– they have eliminated the ICI tax, the only true federal tax, for the towns
– ha privatizzato l’acqua, che passa in gestione dai Comuni alle concessionarie e alle multinazionali
– they have privatized water, that goes from being managed by the towns to the concessionaires and the multinationals
– ha tolto alle Regioni il potere di decidere in materia di politica ambientale
– they have removed decision-making powers from the Regions relating to environmental policies
– ha permesso la creazione di una nuova base militare statunitense a Vicenza (“Padroni a casa nostra”) con la proibizione di un referendum indetto dal Comune
– they have allowed the creation of a new United States military Base at Vicenza (“Padroni a casa nostra” = “Masters in our own land”) with the prohibition on a referendum called for by the town.
– non ha eliminato i Prefetti, ma ha militarizzato le città con l’esercito
– they have not eliminated the Prefects but they have militarized the cities with the army
– ha tolto alle Università del Nord, ad esempio 40 milioni di euro al Politecnico di Milano, per dare 150 milioni al Comune di Catania e 500 milioni al Comune di Roma, per evitare il fallimento
– they have taken money away from the Universities of Northern Italy, for example 40 million euro from the Politecnico di Milano, to give 150 million euro to the city of Catania and 500 million to the city of Rome, to avoid bankruptcy
– ha ignorato la presenza di 90 testate atomiche statunitensi a Ghedi Torre nel Bresciano e a Aviano in Friuli
– they have ignored the presence of 90 United States atomic warheads at Ghedi Torre in the province of Brescia and at Aviano in the province of Friuli
– ha aumentato i costi della politica
– they have increased the cost of politics
– ha lasciato che 8/9 miliardi di euro di fondi europei OGNI ANNO (soldi interamente versati con le nostre tasse) vadano a Calabria, Campania e Sicilia senza nessun controllo. E chi vuole controllare che non finiscano ai partiti e alla criminalità organizzata, come Luigi De Magistris, viene trasferito.

Garibaldi’s Red shirts made Italy. Bossi’s Green shirts have overdone it.
Se dopo alcuni mesi di governo della Lega lo Stato centralista e romano si è rafforzato in questo modo, cosa ci riserva il futuro? La tassa federale per il Nord e gli sgravi fiscali per la mafia?

E’ il federalismo che traccia il solco, ma è la poltrona che lo difende!
