The answers to these and many other mysteries will become clear on 26 September when scientists come out in force around Europe to mark the fourth European Researchers’ Night.
La risposta a questa e a tante altre domande vi verrà data il 26 settembre, in occasione della quarta edizione della notte dei ricercatori europei.

>>> This year, some 200 cities in 27 countries are participating, throwing open doors to labs, museums, universities and research centres.
Quest’anno parteciperanno all’evento circa 200 città di 27 paesi, dove potrete visitare laboratori, musei, università e centri di ricerca.

In Linz, Austria researchers will explain how technology can improve the daily life of people with disabilities, and show how we react to status symbols and different types of human behaviour.
A Linz (Austria) i ricercatori spiegheranno come la tecnologia può migliorare la vita quotidiana dei disabili e come reagiamo agli status symbol e ai diversi tipi di comportamento umano.

In Milan, Italy , scientists will illustrate the relevance of maths for football and explain how the body can regenerate itself, while researchers in Plzen, the Czech Republic , will show visitors how to make beer and sink the Titanic.
A Milano gli scienziati illustreranno l’importanza della matematica per il calcio e le capacità di autorigenerazione del corpo umano. I ricercatori di Plzen (Repubblica ceca) spiegheranno invece ai visitatori come si fa a produrre la birra e … ad affondare il Titanic.

Budding young scientists have meanwhile been rewarded for their achievements at the EU contest for young scientists .
Nel frattempo il concorso europeo per i giovani scienziati ha consentito di premiare alcuni giovani scienziati in erba per i risultati da loro ottenuti.

A jury looked at 87 projects by students aged 14-21 from 39 countries. The top prizes went to three students – from Poland, Slovakia and the UK – for their work in physics and geology.
Dopo aver esaminato 87 progetti presentati da studenti di 39 paesi e di età compresa tra 14 e 21 anni, una giuria ha assegnato i primi premi a tre studenti (provenienti rispettivamente da Polonia, Slovacchia e Regno Unito) per il lavoro svolto nel campo della fisica e della geologia.

Each received €7 000.
Ciascuno di essi ha ricevuto un assegno di 7000 euro.

Slovak winner Martin Tkác collected his cheque for research into how the gravitation principle can stop freight trains carrying bulky loads from tipping over.
Il vincitore slovacco Martin Tkác è stato premiato per la sua ricerca sui principi gravitazionali che impediscono ai treni merci che trasportano carichi pesanti di ribaltarsi.
