L’inaugurazione della Trazzera 5 Stelle sarà domani 31 luglio alle ore 11.30 a Caltavuturo.

“Si sa, in Sicilia il problema è il “traffico”.
“It’s well known that the problem in Sicily is “traffic“.

Soprattutto da quasi quattro mesi a questa parte, da quando un pilone del viadotto dell’autostrada Palermo-Catania ha ceduto, spezzando letteralmente in due l’Isola.
That’s been especially true for the last 4 months after a pillar supporting the Palermo – Catania motorway gave way and thus literally split the island into two.

Subito (si fa per dire) il Governo si era fatto vedere.
Straight away (well it’s a way of speaking) the government was to be seen in action.

>>>  Delrio aveva fatto un sopralluogo e promesso che in tre mesi avrebbero risolto il problema e ridato la principale arteria viaria ai siciliani.

A quasi quattro mesi dal cedimento, però, siamo ancora ai nastri di partenza.

E, mentre Governo regionale e nazionale si rimpallano, probabilmente cercando l’opzione infrastrutturale che permetta di lucrare il più possibile – guarda caso si insiste su un progetto che prevede l’esproprio di un terreno appartenente all’ex assessore della giunta Orlando, Tullio Giuffrè, a un costo record di 236mila euro (eventuali interessi compresi), ben al di sopra del valore reale – il MoVimento 5 Stelle in Sicilia è stata l’unica forza politica ad aver fatto qualcosa di concreto.
And while the regional government and the national government are bouncing ideas around, probably trying to find the infrastructure option that allows them to cream off as much money as possible, – ooops – here they are now insisting on a project that involves the expropriation of land belonging to Tullio Giuffrè, who was a member of the Sicilian regional cabinet when it was led by Orlando, at a record cost of 236 thousand euro (including possible future interest payments), well above its real value. Meanwhile the 5 Star MoVement in Sicily has been the only political entity in Sicily that has taken real action.

Grazie allo stanziamento di 300 mila euro, ricavato dal taglio dei stipendi dei portavoce M5S dell’Ars, domani, a soli 37 giorni dall’inizio dei lavori, si potrà tagliare il nastro su quella che è stata rinominata la “scorciatoia 5 stelle”.
Thanks to the provision of 300 thousand euro, obtained as a result of the M5S spokespersons in the Sicilian Regional Assembly cutting their salaries, tomorrow, only 37 days after the work began, the ribbon will be cut to inaugurate the route referred to as the “5 star short cut“.

Si tratta di una regia trazzera “riesumata” e sistemata con colate di calcestruzzo, canali di scolo, guard-rail e un impianto semaforico.
It was an old dirt road that has been “restored to life“ and sorted out with concrete, dranage systems, guard rails and trafic lights.

Certamente non è una soluzione definitiva al problema, ma permetterà, allo stesso tempo, di raggiungere due obiettivi:
It’s certainly not a definitive solution to the problem. But it does make it possible to achieve two objectives:

garantire una via di fuga ai paesi madoniti e far risparmiare ai cittadini siciliani dai 40 ai 50 minuti di percorrenza per raggiungere Catania da Palermo e viceversa.
to provide an exit route for the people living in the area of the Madonie mountains and to allow the people of Sicily to save 40 to 50 minutes when travelling between Catania and Palermo.

Tutto ciò in attesa che le istituzioni (non invitate all’inaugurazione) facciano il proprio dovere e provvedano a risolvere il problema.
All this has been done while waiting for the establishment (whose representatives have not been invited to the inauguration) to do their duty and take steps to resolve the problem.

Sempre il MoVimento 5 Stelle, infatti, si era fatto avanti con un progetto di “bypass” alternativo per la A 19 che tagliava costi e tempi rispetto a quelli prospettati dall’Anas.
In fact, the 5 Star MoVement has always been active in coming up with a “bypass” alternative to the A19 motorway thus cutting costs and time in relation to other ideas put forward by the road agency, ANAS.

Progetto inizialmente accolto con entusiasmo dal ministro Graziano Delrio, che aveva ricevuto i portavoce nazionali e regionali, salvo poi ricredersi e far dire dagli uffici tecnici che il progetto non stava in piedi.
The project was initially welcomed by the Minister, Graziano Delrio, who received the national and regional spokespersons but he then took a step back and got the
technical department to say that the project couldn’t work.

Probabilmente non c’era nulla da speculare, quindi non poteva andare bene nonostante anche illustri docenti avevano detto che il progetto avanzato dal MoVimento 5 Stelle fosse valido, mentre quello dell’Anas è un’opera al buio: non si sa realmente quando potrà essere ultimato.
It was probably because there was no margin for speculation, so it couldn’t go well even though famous academics had said that the 5 Star MoVement’s project was valid, whereas the project put forward by the road agency ANAS was a shot in the dark and it’s not possible to estimate when it could be concluded.
