L’insopportabile pesantezza di Obama
The unbearable heaviness of Obama

Obama ha vinto. Sono contento, ma soffro più di prima.
Obama has won. I am happy, but I’m suffering more than before.

Obama declared: “The United States is the place where everything is possible.”

Guardo il mio Paese dove niente è possibile.
I look at my country where nothing is possible.

Un piduista capo del Governo. Un’opposizione indecente.
P2-ist as Head of the Government. An indecent Opposition.

L’informazione sotto controllo.

Information under control.

E mi viene il magone.
And I get a great sadness coming over me.

>>> Obama, giovane, colto, slanciato, intelligente, di colore, parla di futuro, di innovazione.
Obama, young, cultured, slender, intelligent, coloured, talks about the future, about innovation.

“Il cambiamento è arrivato”, ha detto.
“Change has arrived”, he said.

“La nostra vittoria è partita dal basso”.
“Our victory has started from the bottom.”

Da noi quando arriverà?
With us when will it arrive?

Gerontocrazia e oligarchia regnano.

Gerontocracy and Oligarchy reign.

People like Berlusconi, Napolitano, Gelli, Andreotti are old people in the range of 70 to 90 years old.

Vogliono vivere in eterno, fino a 120 anni.
They want to live into eternity up to 120 years.

The country is a room full of stale air.

Il puzzo del potere ci ha contagiato.
The smell of power is contagious for us.

Non sentiamo più il nostro stesso odore.
We no longer smell our own smells.

Chi vuole aprire la finestra, portare venti di cambiamento, puliti, onesti, viene massacrato come fu Borsellino, come fu Ambrosoli.
Anyone who wants to open the window and bring in winds of change is murdered as happened to Borsellino and to Ambrosoli.

O emarginato, combattuto dalle istituzioni e dai media.
Or sidelined, and attacked by the institutions and the media.

Come De Magistris, come la Forleo.
Like De Magistris, like Forleo.

Just imagine Obama who as the first action of Government declares his own immunity by law so as to save himself from a corruption trial.

Durerebbe poche ore, poi dovrebbe fuggire all’estero.
He would last a few hours, then he would have to take refuge abroad.

Just think of Obama talking about incinerators and nuclear power stations, then McCain would have won.

Obama è una speranza, Veltrusconi una condanna.

Obama is hope, Veltrusconi is condemnation.

I feel an unsupportable heaviness on top of me.

More than before, I feel a stench of arteriosclerosis in the streets.

L’Italia stanotte è invecchiata di colpo.

Tonight Italy has suddenly got old.

Ci guardiamo allo specchio e ci spaventiamo.
We look at ourselves in the mirror and we get a shock.

Cosa siamo diventati?

What have we become?

Cosa ci aspetta senza un cambiamento radicale?

Without a radical change what can we look forward to?

The Internet is what first announced Obama’s victory.

3.000 comuni italiani su circa ottomila sono senza ADSL.

3,000 Italian towns out of about 8,000 are without ADSL.

Worse than in Africa, but with the antiquated digital terrestrial.

Scusate, devo riprendermi.

I apologise, I have to collect myself.

Obama has delivered a low blow. From today, it will be more difficult to understand why we are living, why we have to live in this state of collapse.

The Internet has been fundamental for his campaign. It is an indication of the end of newspapers and TV.

The revolution in Italy, if it comes, will not be via the TV .

Informiamoci e informate in Rete, senza sosta.
Let us be informed and inform others via the Internet, without let up.

Forse la finestra si spalancherà, belin.
Perhaps the window will swing open, crikey.

Loro non molleranno mai, noi neppure.
They will never give up, neither will we.
