le vicende riguardanti Beppe Grillo, il Movimento 5 Stelle e Gianroberto Casaleggio sono state ampiamente riportate dai media nei mesi passati, con una forte accelerazione nelle scorse settimane fino a oggi.
The happenings relating to Beppe Grillo, the Movimento 5 Stelle {5 Star Movement} and Gianroberto Casaleggio have been widely reported in the media in the past few months with a great acceleration in the last few weeks right up to this moment.
Questa attenzione, di norma scarsamente informata, quasi sempre maliziosa e ostile, mi ha toccato marginalmente, ma non lievemente, in quanto socio della Casaleggio Associati.
This attention that is normally badly documented is nearly always malicious and hostile and has been only marginally about me, but it has been important to me as a partner in the firm Casaleggio Associati.
Poiché da oggi lascio la società, ritengo utile chiarirne i motivi, per evitare ulteriori distorsioni dei fatti.
Given that I am leaving the firm today, I believe it is useful to clarify the reasons for this, so as to avoid a further distortion of the facts.
I motivi sono due.
There are two reasons.
>>> Il primo riguarda la mia presenza, come socio di minoranza, nella Casaleggio Associati.
The first reason relates to my presence as a minority partner in the firm Casaleggio Associati.
I media hanno speculato in merito interpretando il mio ruolo come rappresentante di più o meno precisati «poteri forti» intenzionati a infiltrare, tramite la Casaleggio Associati, il blog di Beppe Grillo e, tramite Gianroberto Casaleggio, il movimento politico.
The media have speculated about me and have interpreted my role as the representative of what are defined with more or less precision as “strong powers“ with the intention of infiltrating, Beppe Grillo’s blog by means of Casaleggio Associati, and by using Gianroberto Casaleggio, to infltrate the political movement.
In breve, non rappresento alcun potere forte, né in generale né nello specifico, né ritengo che alcun potere forte si senta rappresentato da me.
Basically, I do not represent any strong power whether in general or specifically and I don’t believe that any strong power feels represented by me.
La prova del contrario la lascio ai maliziosi interpreti che si sono finora beati nel richiamare fantasiose teorie complottistiche degne di romanzi d’appendice più che di una stampa seria e informata.
I’ll leave it up to the malicious interpretations to prove the opposite of what I’m saying, to those people who, up until now, have delighted in calling upon fantastic theories of plots that are worthy of “feuilletons” rather than serious and well-documented reporting.
Non conosco Beppe Grillo, non ci siamo mai incontrati né scambiati telefonate, mail o sms.
I don’t know Beppe Grillo. We have never met and we’ve haven’t communicated by telephone, by email or by SMS.
Non ho partecipato alla gestione del suo blog in seno alla Casaleggio Associati, dove non ho mai ricoperto cariche operative;
I haven’t participated in managing his blog in Casaleggio Associati. I’ve never had operational roles within the company.
non ho mai avuto a che fare con il Movimento 5 Stelle, con il quale intrattiene relazioni il solo Casaleggio nelle forme e nei modi da lui stesso ripetutamente chiariti anche su questo giornale.
I’ve never had anything to do with the Movimento 5 Stelle {5 Star Movement} that has a relationship only with Casaleggio in the ways that he has repeatedly clarified even in this very newspaper.
Lascio la società perché i miei interessi personali e professionali sono altrove, ma anche per spezzare il filo delle speculazioni interessate.
I am leaving the company because my personal and professional interests are elsewhere, but also so as to break the thread of speculation in this regard.

Il secondo motivo è ben più grave e si sostanzia in una valanga apparentemente inarrestabile di diffamazioni e calunnie di violenta intensità, basate su ancor più farneticanti teorie del complotto, che sono apparse e continuano ad apparire in blog e siti di diversa connotazione:
The second reason is much more serious and it lies in an apparently unstoppable avalanche of intensely violent defamatory and libellous statements based on even more way out hypotheses of plots, that are continuing to appear in blogs and websites of different hues:
da quelli di ispirazione esplicitamente nazi-fascista a quelli di tendenza diametralmente opposta (come i Meet Up di supporto a Grillo) passando per una varietà di blog e siti di varia natura che vanno dai circoli vegetariani a club politici o territoriali delle più diverse tendenze.
ranging from those that are explicitly of neo-fascist inspiration to those that are diametrically opposite (like the “Meet Up” groups that support Grillo’s work) going via a variety of different types of blogs and websites like those of vegetarian groups to clubs covering a political idea or related to a particular geographic area and a vast range of opinions.

Di recente, ad esempio, ho avuto il dubbio privilegio di sentirmi associato su La7 dal direttore di Rai4 Carlo Freccero ai poteri forti e al Bilderberg, per la felicità degli ospiti presenti.
Just recently, for example, I’ve had the doubtful privilege to hear the director of Rai4 Carlo Freccero speaking on La7 and associating me with the “strong powers” and with Bilderberg, so as to entertain the invited guests.

Decine di articoli e servizi televisivi hanno sostenuto e sostengono ogni giorno il teorema dei poteri forti dediti a infiltrare il Movimento, non si sa bene se per legittimarlo o delegittimarlo.
Dozens of articles and TV programmes have in the past put forward this hypothesis of the “strong powers” aiming to infiltrate the Movement and they are still doing so. It’s not obvious whether they do this to give it legitimacy or to delegitimise it.
