Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs: Benefits for 3200 small business
Erasmus per giovani imprenditori: una risorsa per 3.200 piccole imprese
More than 1600 exchanges have so far been organised under the Erasmus for Young entrepreneurs programme and some 3200 businesses have been created or expanded (including numerous joint ventures and new cross border relations, see MEMO/13/412).
Nell’ambito del programma “Erasmus per giovani imprenditori” sono stati finora organizzati oltre 1 600 scambi e sono state create o ulteriormente sviluppate circa 3.200 imprese (tra cui numerose imprese in partecipazione e nuove relazioni transfrontaliere, cfr. MEMO/13/412).
Since 2009, funded by the European Commission, Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs enables new entrepreneurs – be they “would-be” entrepreneurs armed with a coherent business plan or entrepreneurs who started their own business in the last three years – to gain valuable skills and experience in a business in another country participating in the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP).
Dal 2009 il programma Erasmus per giovani imprenditori finanziato dalla Commissione europea consente ai nuovi imprenditori – imprenditori “potenziali” con un piano aziendale coerente o imprenditori a capo di un’impresa avviata nei tre anni precedenti – di acquisire competenze ed esperienza preziose presso un’impresa di un altro paese partecipante al Programma per la competitività e l’innovazione (CIP).

Partecipare a “Erasmus per giovani imprenditori” offre loro un’opportunità unica per apprendere da colleghi più esperti e tradurre idee imprenditoriali in realtà.
Under the ‘Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs’ programme, an entrepreneur intending to start a company or having just started one, can get first-hand, practical coaching from an experienced entrepreneur from another country, by working alongside him or her for one to six months.
Nell’ambito del programma “Erasmus per giovani imprenditori” un imprenditore che intende avviare o ha appena avviato un’impresa può ricevere una formazione pratica e diretta da un imprenditore esperto di un altro paese lavorando al suo fianco per un periodo da uno a sei mesi.
New entrepreneurs receive a grant from the European Union for their stay abroad.
I nuovi imprenditori ricevono un finanziamento dell’Unione europea per il loro soggiorno all’estero.
Through this experience, they can acquire the skills needed to successfully start and run a small business, or bring some fresh ideas into their company.
Grazie a questa esperienza possono acquisire le competenze necessarie per avviare e gestire con successo una piccola impresa, e iniettare nella loro impresa nuove idee.
Host entrepreneurs also benefit significantly from the exchange.
Anche per gli imprenditori ospitanti lo scambio presenta notevoli vantaggi.
They can make use of the particular knowledge the young entrepreneur brings, profit from the entrepreneur’s energy and talent, and last but not least get the opportunity to explore new markets abroad.

94% of participating new entrepreneurs and 85% of host entrepreneurs report that the programme has helped them to set up or extend development their business.
Il 94% dei nuovi imprenditori partecipanti e l’85% degli imprenditori ospitanti dichiara che il programma è stato utile per creare o sviluppare le loro attività.
84% of host entrepreneurs would happily welcome another young entrepreneur.

Many exchanges result in long-term cooperation between the two entrepreneurs, as well as in the internationalisation of their businesses.

Also, the programme does not only considerably contribute to the creation of new businesses, but makes them more robust, competitive and sustainable.

‘Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs’ is financed by the European Commission and operates across countries participating in CIP with the help of nearly 200 business support organisations (intermediary organisations), such as Chambers of Commerce, business support organisations or start-up centres.
“Erasmus per giovani imprenditori” è finanziato dalla Commissione europea e opera nei paesi partecipanti al CIP con l’ausilio di quasi 200 organizzazioni di sostegno alle imprese (organismi intermedi), quali le camere di commercio, le organizzazioni di sostegno alle imprese o i centri che aiutano le imprese in fase di avviamento.
This programme started in 2009 as a pilot project, but became soon part of the Competitiveness and Innovation Programme (CIP), which provided it with a permanent footing.
Il programma è partito nel 2009 come progetto pilota, divenendo poi rapidamente parte del Programma per la competitività e l’innovazione (CIP), nell’ambito del quale ha raggiunto il suo assetto definitivo.
