Quisling, Letta and the new collaborators

Saccomanni, qualche tempo fa, si lasciò sfuggire una frase “Bisogna dire la verità agli italiani”.
Some time ago, Saccomanni, let slip “We need to tell the Italian people the truth”.

Si riferiva allo sfascio economico.
He was referring to the collapse of the economy.

Poi è rimasto in silenzio, in attesa di essere cacciato dal governo.
Then he stayed silent while waiting to be thrown out of the government.

Da allora ogni giorno è in bilico.
Since then his situation has been on a knife edge every single day.

Nel frattempo Capitan Findus Letta racconta le sue menzogne agli italiani.
Meanwhile Captain Findus Letta tells his own lies to the Italian people.

He’s always shifting the date for our recovery further into the future. Meanwhile the situation in the country is getting worse with daily war bulletins that are true, news about the bad situation for companies and for investments.

Questo doppio registro, l’Italia che viene distrutta dalla mancanza di una politica economica e le falsità di Letta propagandate dai giornali e dalle televisioni ha assunto ormai una dimensione grottesca, fumettistica.
This double register has by now taken on a dimension that is both grotesque and like a comic strip. We have the destruction of Italy with the lack of economic policy and we have the untruths coming from Letta being propogated by the newspapers and the TV channels.

Ogni sua dichiarazione si è dimostrata falsa come un soldo bucato, ma lui, imperterrito, continua con le sue fandonie.

Questa rappresentazione stucchevole di un ometto graziato dalla sorte e politico a carico dei contribuenti dalla nascita (non ha mai fatto altro nella vita, eoni fa, nel 1998 è stato ministro per le politiche comunitarie del governo D’Alema) ha però un suo significato, quello di garantire gli interessi dei nostri creditori internazionali, in primis la Germania.
This nauseating theatrical performance by a little man who has been blessed by fate, who has been a politician living on the State ever since he was born (he has never done anything else in his life, eons ago, in 1998 he was the Minister for European Policies in D’Alema’s government) has however some meaning. It looks after the interests of our international creditors, and that’s primarily Germany.

Non sarà sfuggito che Capitan Findus ha quasi speso più tempo all’estero dalla sua elezione che in Italia a farsi accreditare dalle segreterie internazionali.
It won’t have gone unnoticed that since his election, Captain Findus has spent almost more time abroad than in Italy to make sure he gets brownie points from international bodies.

Come Rigor Montis prima di lui, Letta rappresenta l’assicurazione che l’Italia onorerà i debiti contratti dalle nostre banche attraverso la BCE e i rimborsi dei titoli pubblici e degli interessi.
Like “Rigor Montis” before him, Letta represents the guarantee that Italy will honour the debts that the banks have contracted via the ECB and the reimbursement of public bonds as well as interest payments.

E’ il novello Quisling italiano, il collaborazionista norvegese al servizio dei nazisti durante l’ultima guerra mondiale.
He’s the newbie Italian version of Quisling, the Norwegian collaborator who served the Nazis during the last world war.

Il suo è un governo fantoccio che rappresenta gli interessi di Stati stranieri e non dell’Italia.
He’s leading a puppet government that’s representing the interests of foreign States and not Italian interests.

La cassa integrazione in deroga è al collasso, 350mila lavoratori sono senza sussidio da nove mesi.
Even though the fund for laid off workers is about to collapse, 350 thousand workers have been without any dole money for nine months.

Le partite Iva sono crollate dal 2008 al giugno del 2013 di 400mila unità.
The number of sole traders has plummeted by 400 thousand from 2008 to June 2013.

Disoccupazione fuori controllo, debito pubblico esplosivo, chiusure di negozi e piccole e media imprese come se piovesse.
Unemployment is out of control, the public debt is exploding, shops and SMEs are closing down all over the show.

Il disastro Italia assomiglia a un bombardamento quotidiano dove a una cattiva notizia ne succede una pessima.
The disaster in Italy is like a daily bombardment with one item of bad news followed by one that’s even worse.

Quisling Letta non ha fatto nulla per risollevare il Paese.
Quisling Letta has done nothing to help the country.

Gli ordini li prende dall’estero.
He’s taking orders from abroad.

E’ un procuratore fallimentare che deve garantire i creditori.
He’s a bankruptcy commissioner that has to protect the interests of the creditors.

Quanto potremo andare avanti così?
How much longer can we continue like this?

A venderci persino le spiagge?
Selling off even our beaches?

Due misure sono improrogabili.
There are two things that cannot be delayed.

Vanno tagliati gli sprechi, le spese inutili che ammontano a circa 100 miliardi.
Wasteful and useless spending has to be cut and that amounts to about 100 billion euro.

Queste voragini nel bilancio dello Stato non possono però essere eliminate da chi ne gode i benefici, dai partiti e dai Letta, che appunto per questo vanno mandati a casa.
However, these massive black holes in State finances cannot be eliminated by the people that are benefiting form them, by the parties and by Letta. This is why they have to be sent packing.

Vanno rinegoziati con la UE il tetto del 3% che ci strangola, che va superato da subito per gli investimenti in attività produttive, ristrutturato il nostro debito, cancellati gli impegni impossibili assunti con il Fiscal Compact con nuove tasse per 50 miliardi all’anno per vent’anni, una pazzia.
This ceiling of 3% that is strangling us, has to be renegotiated with the EU. We have to go above that straight away for investment in productive activity. Our debt has to be restructured. We have to cancel impossible commitments taken on with the Fiscal Compact involving the madness of new taxes for twenty years amounting to 50 billion a year.
