Renzie and La Repubblica without shame
“Dopo gli 80 euro, il job act per una vita da precario e altre promesse da imbonitore, Renzi dilaga perfino nel cuore nero dell’Italia: quello delle stragi senza colpevoli.
“After the “80 euro”, the “Jobs Act” for a lifetime spent as a “precarious worker” and other “clever talker“ promises, Renzi even goes on about the dark heart of Italy: the slaughters for which no one has yet been found guilty.
“Abbiamo deciso – rivela a Repubblica – di desecretare gli atti delle principale vicende che hanno colpito il nostro Paese e trasferirli all’Archivio di Stato.
In his revelation to the newspaper La Repubblica, he said “We have decided to remove the stamp of secrecy from the documents relating to the main happenings that struck our country and we’ll transfer them to the State Archive.
Per essere chiari: tutti i documenti delle stragi di Piazza Fontana, dell’Italicum o della bomba di Bologna. Lo faremo nelle prossime settimane”.
To be clear: we’re talking about all the documents relating to the slaughters of Piazza Fontana, of Italicum and the bombing at Bologna. We’ll do this in the next few weeks.“
Repubblica subito titola – slap slap – “Via il segreto dalle stragi”e tutti ci cascano.
Immediately La Repubblica has the headline “Secrecy about the slaughters to be removed“ and everyone falls for it.
>>> Ma “il golpista” del PD non sa di cosa sta parlando e meno che mai lo sa Repubblica: infatti il segreto di stato non è opponibile – per legge! – nelle inchieste sulle stragi.
But the “PD’s coup leader” doesn’t know what he’s talking about and neither does La Repubblica : in fact, by law it’s not possible to invoke the argument of “state secrets” in the investigations about slaughters.
Non esistono carte riguardanti le stragi che siano state negate ai magistrati.
There are no documents relating to the slaughters that have been kept from the magistrates.
Quelle di cui parla Renzi sono tutte arrivate nelle mani dei Pm nell’ultimo ventennio e, pur svelando qualcosa di importante, non hanno certo portato alla verità.
The documents that Renzi is talking about have all arrived into the hands of the prosecutors in the last twenty years and even though they reveal important information, they have certainly not revealed the whole truth.
I colpevoli non sono stati trovati, anzi nell’ultimo processo per la strage di Brescia – che ha attinto a piene mani e liberamente agli archivi dei servizi e della Presidenza del Consiglio – gli indagati sono stati assolti.
The people who are guilty of the crimes have not been found. In fact, in the latest trial for the Brescia slaughter – that made full use of the archives of the Secret Services and of the archives of the office of the President of the Council – the defendants were found “not guilty”.
Mentre Piazza Fontana è ormai un caso chiuso e nulla al momento fa pensare ad una riapertura.
Meanwhile, the case of the bombing in Piazza Fontana is now considered to be closed and at the moment there’s nothing to indicate it will be reopened.
E buona parte sono state acquisite dalle commissioni parlamentari di inchiesta ma poi messe in scatola.
A lot of documents were presented to the parliamentary committees of inquiry and these were then placed in cardboard boxes.
E basterebbe rendere pubbliche quelle senza annunci falsi e roboanti.
It would be enough to make these available to the public without making bombastic false announcements
Le carte di cui parla Renzi sono quindi desecretate e in molti casi già consultabili.
Thus the documents that Renzi’s talking about are no longer secret and in many cases they can already be consulted.
Insomma siamo alla solita cinica televendita per dire “qualcosa di sinistra”.
Basically we‘ve got to the usual cynical TV sales spot in order to say “something sinister”.
Ovviamente il segreto di Stato esiste, ed è stato opposto – recentemente – nel processo per il rapimento di Abu Omar, uno degli ultimi esempi di servilismo e di svendita dell’interesse nazionale.
Obviously state secrets do exist, and the concept was brought into play recently in the trial about the kidnapping of Abu Omar, one of the most recent examples of servility and of underselling the national interest.
Sono proprio carte di questo tenore a rimanere “intangibili”:

i documenti Nato, quelli che parlano di accordi sulle basi militari, della presenza di testate atomiche in Italia, di interessi stranieri nel Paese o anche le carte che riguardano il Quirinale.
Are they really papers from NATO, things discussing agreements about military bases, about the presence of atomic warheads in Italy, things about Italy that could be of interest to foreigners? Or are there even documents about the President and the Quirinale Palace?
E molte altre carte chissà dove sono finite: magari in qualche archivio parallelo, come quello scoperto da Aldo Giannuli sulla Circonvallazione Appia a Roma nel 1997, mentre al Viminale regnava Giorgio Napolitano.
And who knows where so many other documents have landed up. Perhaps in some parallel archive, like the one discovered by Aldo Giannuli in Rome’s Via Appia in 1997, during Giorgio Napolitano’s reign as Minister of Home Affairs.
Lo Stato Italiano non ha infatti una mappa dei suoi archivi: altro che carte fantasma, noi abbiamo interi archivi fantasma, che nessuno sa dove siano e cosa contengano.
In fact the Italian State doesn’t have a map of its archives: it’s not a matter of phantom documents, we have whole archives that are phantoms. Archives that no one knows where they are located and what they contain.
Complimenti quindi al premier e a Repubblica, che promettono di pubblicare solo ciò che è già pubblico da anni.
Thus: “well done” to the premier and to La Repubblica, who are promising to publish something that has already been in the public domain for years.
D’altronde, il cinismo non ha limiti quando si tratta di qualche voto in più.
After all, cynicism has no limits when it’s a matter of getting a few extra votes.
