Lettera di auguri a Sergio Mattarella
Letter to Sergio Mattarella with all my best wishes
Caro presidente della Repubblica italiana Sergio Mattarella,
Dear President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella,
Le invio questa lettera di auguri per il suo settennato.
I’m writing this letter with all my best wishes for your seven years in office.
Il primo augurio è quello di tutelare la Costituzione italiana
My first wish is that you will provide protection for the Italian Constitution.
Il secondo augurio è di non firmare leggi palesemente incostituzionali proposte dal governo
My second wish is that you will not sign any law put forward by the government that is blatantly unconstitutional.
>>> Il terzo augurio è di promuovere con i mezzi a sua disposizione leggi per proteggere le fasce più deboli della popolazione alle quali ha voluto dedicare le sue prime parole:
My third wish is that you will use whatever means you have available to you to promote laws that will protect the most vulnerable people in society and I noticed that you devoted your first thoughts to these very people:

“My thoughts are turning to the hopes and the difficulties of my fellow citizens”
Il quarto augurio è di ribadire la posizione della Corte costituzionale, di cui lei ha fatto parte, sulla illegittimità dell’attuale legge elettorale
My fourth wish is that you will repeat the statement of the Constitutional Court, of which you have been a part of – the position stating that the current electoral laws are illegitimate.
Il quinto augurio è di combattere, per quanto è nelle sue possibilità, il legame incestuoso che, sempre più, si palesa tra partiti e criminalità organizzata, in particolar modo nelle amministrazioni locali
My fifth wish is that you will use all means available to you to fight the incestuous connection that is increasingly becoming so evident – the connection between the parties and organised crime, and especially in the local authorities.
Il sesto augurio è di ripristinare la centralità del Parlamento
My sixth wish is that you will restore the central position of parliament
Il settimo augurio è di esprimere la sua solidarietà in quanto capo dello Stato al pm di Palermo Nino Di Matteo che incontreremo la prossima settimana per esprimergli la nostra vicinanza come M5S
My seventh wish is that, as Head of State, you will express your solidarity with the Palermo prosecutor Nino Di Matteo with whom we are having a meeting next week to tell him that we of the M5S are standing by him
L’ottavo augurio è di promuovere un riordino del sistema informativo pubblico per un’informazione che sia indipendente e libera.
My eighth wish is that you will promote the reorganisation of public information systems to make sure they provide information that is independent and free.
L’ultimo e nono augurio è di essere ricordato alla fine del suo settennato con la stima e l’entusiasmo che hanno accompagnato la sua elezione.
My final and ninth wish is that you will be remembered at the end of your seven year term of office with the high regard and enthusiasm that has been evident at this moment of your election.
Le chiedo con questa lettera aperta anche un incontro per illustrarle di persona la posizione del M5S sui temi più importanti per il Paese, in particolare sull’introduzione del reddito di cittadinanza, e per ascoltare le sue valutazioni in merito.
In this open letter I’m also asking you for a meeting so that I can personally explain to you the M5S position on the most important issues for the country, and especially talk about bringing in a citizen’s income, and to hear what you feel about these matters.
