Political stalking

Sono una vittima di stalking politico.
I am a victim of political stalking.

Mi perseguitano con telefonate, ansa, appelli all’unità, manifestazioni.
These guys are persecuting me by means of telephone calls, heavy breathing, appeals for unity and protests.

Non sanno che è un reato grave, che li denuncerò alla Carfagna, la legge me lo consente.
They are apparently unaware that this is a serious offence and that I could report them to Minister Carfagna, the Law gives me that right.

Lo stalking politico è peggio di quello sessuale, più insistente, subdolo.
Political stalking is worse than sexual stalking because it’s more persistent and underhand.

La persecuzione avviene con comunicazioni verbali e scritte, appostamenti ed intrusioni nella mia vita privata ogni giorno.
The persecution happens by means of the spoken and the written word, ambushes and daily intrusions into my private life.

Lo stalker politico (o giornalistico) si suddivide come lo stalker sessuale in categorie ben precise e io, modestamente, le ho tutte:
Political stalkers (or journalists), like sexual stalkers, fall into a variety of very specific categories and, modestly speaking, I have them all after me:

“Stalker risentito”, caratterizzato da rancori per traumi ricevuti a suo avviso ingiustamente (tipicamente un intellettuale di sinistra o un giornalista mandato affanculo).
“The suffering stalker”, characterised by feelings of anger for perceived injustices perpetrated against him (typically this is a left-wing intellectual or a journalist who has been told to fuck-off).

Questo tipo di stalker non si rimette più dalla delusione e continua a parlare di me con chiunque gli capiti a tiro nei giornali, nelle radio e in televisione.
This type of stalker is simply unable to get over his disappointment and keeps on talking about me to anyone he can latch onto at the newspapers, the radio stations and on television.

Di solito mi paragona a Hitler e a Mussolini. Stalker con la barba.
He usually compares me with Hitler and Mussolini. This is the bearded stalker.

“Stalker bisognoso d’affetto”, desideroso di convertire a relazione sentimentale un ordinario rapporto della quotidianità;
“The affection-seeking stalker”, who wishes to turn a common, everyday relationship into a love affair.

insiste e fa pressione nella convinzione che prima o poi io, oggetto delle sue attenzioni, mi convinca.
He is insistent and turns on the pressure in the hope that, sooner or later, I as the object of his affection will begin to see things his way.

Uno stalker che vuole una relazione stabile, un ménage in una casa comune, tutta una vita insieme, ma io sono già sposato. Stalker da comunicati ossessivi.
A stalker who is seeking a permanent relationship, a kind of ménage in a shared home, together for a lifetime, notwithstanding the fact that, unfortunately for him, I am already married. This the stalker of the obsessive press releases.

“Stalker corteggiatore incompetente”, che opera stalking di breve durata, risulta opprimente ed invadente principalmente per “ignoranza” delle modalità relazionali, dunque arreca un fastidio preterintenzionale.
“The inexperienced suitor-stalker”, who stalks for brief periods and comes across as overbearing and interfering largely due to his “incompetence ” in terms of relationships, and who therefore causes trouble quite unintentionally.

Stalker “mordi e fuggi”, dotato di grande intensità di corteggiamento fino al raggiungimento dell’obiettivo, come può essere un posto da consigliere o da presidente di Regione.
He is the “hit and run” stalker who pursues his target relentlessly until he has managed to achieve his real objective, which may be a post as councillor or perhaps even Regional Premier.

Uno stalker da sveltina che ti vuole sempre fottere alla bisogna.
This is the “quickie” stalker who thinks he can screw you as and when he wishes.

“Stalker respinto”, rifiutato dalla vittima, caratterizzato dal voler contemporaneamente vendicarsi dell’affronto costituito dal rifiuto ed insieme riprovare ad allestire una relazione con la vittima stessa.
“The rejected stalker”, who has been rejected by his victim and is characterised by a desire to avenge the perceived insult, namely the act of rejection, while at the same time trying to establish a relationship with the victim.

Stalker che rielabora il lutto del rifiuto con alternative politiche senza domani.
This is the stalker that redirects his disappointment at being rejected into numerous other activities with no possible future.

Passa da una relazione a un’altra per dimenticarmi.
He continuously moves from one relationship to the next in his attempt to forget about me.

“Stalker predatore”, il cui obiettivo è di natura essenzialmente elettorale, trae eccitazione dal riferire le sue mire a vittime che può rendere oggetto di insulti e di diffamazione nei telegiornali per spaventarne gli elettori;
“The predator-stalker”, whose objective is essentially electoral in nature and who gets his kicks by targeting victims on whom he can focus his insults and slander during the course of television newscasts so as to scare off any potential voters.

è una tipologia spesso riguardante pedofili, corruttori e servi.
This type also often has paedophile, corruption and subservient tendencies.

Uno stalker che non si tira indietro di fronte a nulla, neppure a falsi attentati o a lesioni che si auto infligge in pubblico o a denunce paranoiche nei miei confronti.
This is a stalker that will stop at nothing, even claiming that I am personally responsible for the alleged attacks against him or publicly shooting himself in the foot, or even laying paranoid charges against me.

Cari stalker, il mondo è grande.
My dear stalkers, this world of ours is a very big place.
