Enterprises for the future

Nel 2010 sono fallite 11.000 imprese in Italia.
In the year 2010, 11,000 enterprises went bust in Italy.

Un aumento del 20% rispetto al 2009.
An increase of 20% over the figure for 2009.

Nel 2011 l’andamento non è migliorato.
In 2011, the trend has not improved.

Nei primi tre mesi, ogni giorno, hanno chiuso 30 imprese.
In the first three months, each day 30 enterprises have closed.

Un’ecatombe silenziosa che riguarda tutti i settori.
A silent disaster that relates to all sectors.

Il più colpito è quello industriale, seguito dalle costruzioni, dal commercio e dalle telecomunicazioni.
The worst hit is the industrial sector followed by construction, commerce, and telecommunications.

Il maggior numero di fallimenti è avvenuto in Lombardia, quindi le Marche, il Friuli e il Veneto.
The greatest number of failures has been in Lombardy, followed by the Marches, then Friuli and then Veneto.

Il dato è confermato dalle città dove sono più numerose le aziende che chiudono per sempre i battenti.
The figures are confirmed by the ciies where there are the most companies that are closing up shop for ever.

La prima è Milano, seconda Treviso, terza Bergamo, quarta Vicenza, quinta Venezia, sesta Brescia.
The first is Milan, the second Treviso, third Bergamo, fourth Vicenza, fifth Venezia, sixth Brescia.

Tra poco saranno i padani a dover salire sui barconi.
In a bit it’ll be the people of the Po valley that’ll have to clamber into the boats.

A fallire, sempre di più, sono le piccole e medie imprese.
Ever more frequently, it’s the small and medium sized companies that are going bust.

Di grandi ne rimangono ormai veramente poche, quasi tutte concessionarie dello Stato, come Benetton, Mediaset e Telecom Italia, o monopoliste di fatto come Eni e Enel.
By now there are truly very few big companies, almost all of which are State concessionaries, like Benetton, Mediaset and Telecom Italia, or de facto monopolies like Eni and Enel.

Ci stanno lasciando nomi che ci hanno accompagnato dalla nostra infanzia, come Omsa “Che gambe!”, la Bialetti dell’Omino coi baffi e l’Indesit delle nostre prime lavatrici.
Names that have been with us since our infancy like Omsa “Che gambe!!” {what legs!}, Bialetti with “Omino coi baffi” {the small man with a moustache} and Indesit with our very first washing machines.

Fare impresa in Italia è un atto di eroismo, molti hanno gettato la spugna, altri sono emigrati, altri ancora non sono mai partiti.
To have an enterprise in Italy is an act of heroism, many have thrown in the towel, others have emigrated, others still have never got started.

Le banche ti concedono un finanziamento o un fido solo se non ne hai bisogno.
The banks give you financing or a credit only if you don’t need it.

Non c’è comunque soluzione allo sviluppo dell’impresa italiana, senza rimane solo il fallimento definitivo dello Stato e l’emigrazione di massa (ma dove?).
However there’s no solution for the development of the Italian enterprise. And without that what’s left is just the definitive collapse of the State and mass emigration (but where?).

Le aziende premiate in questo Paese fruiscono di finanziamenti pubblici o bancari, hanno raccomandazioni politiche, si occupano di attività contrarie all’etica, come avviene per le mangiatoie del nucleare e degli inceneritori.
The companies that get rewarded in this country benefit from financing from the public purse or from the banks. They have political recommendations; they deal with activities that are contrary to ethics, as happens for the feeding troughs of nuclear and of the incinerators.

Ecco, queste imprese non falliscono, il blog vuole occuparsi delle altre.
OK, these companies don’t go bust.The blog wants to think about the other ones.

Da oggi offre la possibilità a aziende già esistenti di accedere a fondi rivolti a società etiche.
From today it’s offering the possibility for existing companies to have access to funds aimed at ethical companies.

Le richieste di investimento vanno inviate al blog attraverso il form dell’area “Imprese per il futuro”.
The requests for financing are to be sent to the blog by using the forms in the area called “Imprese per il futuro” {enterprises for the future}.

Loro non si arrenderanno mai (ma gli conviene?).
They will never give up (but is it in their interests?).

Noi neppure.
Neither will we.
