Anche Monti può fare una cosa giusta, il problema è che quando la fa nessuno gli riconosce il merito.
Even Monti can do something right, the problem is that when he does, no one recognises its merits.
E allora si demotiva, si intristisce e convoca ABC per una partita a rubamazzetto a Palazzo Chigi (dove vince sempre Casini).
So he gets demotivated, he gets sad and he calls in ABC for a game of snap at Palazzo Chigi (where it’s always Casini that wins).
Ad aprile è stata introdotta una legge che vieta ai consiglieri di avere più di una carica nei consigli di amministrazione nelle società finanziarie.
In April a law came in to forbid board members from having more than one position on the Boards of financial companies.
Una legge contro il conflitto di interessi e che costringe alla rinuncia a ben 1.500 posti (sono più delle cavallette del Nilo) nei vari consigli di società quotate e non.
A law against the conflict of interests and one that obliges people to give up 1,500 positions (that’s more than the locusts of the Nile), in the various Boards of the quoted companies as well as the unlisted ones.
I consigli di amministrazione sono un’orgia dove sono sempre gli stessi a praticare il sesso attivo, mentre i piccoli azionisti si limitano alla parte passiva.
The Boards of directors are an orgy where it’s always the same people practising active sex, while the small shareholders restrict themselves to the passive part.
Questa legge, anche se lontana da essere risolutiva, è comunque un passo avanti nello sfoltimento dei ranghi dei padroni della Borsa.
This law, even though it’s a long way from being decisive, is at least a step forward in thinning out the ranks of the masters of the Stock Exchange.
Società quotate come Unicredit, Mediobanca, Generali, Mediolanum, IntesaSanPaolo condividevano tra loro alcuni consiglieri.
Quoted companies like Unicredit, Mediobanca, Generali, Mediolanum, IntesaSanPaolo were sharing some Board members among themselves.

– Introduzione di un tetto per gli stipendi del management delle aziende quotate in Borsa
– Introduction of a ceiling for the salaries of managers in the companies quoted on the Stock Exchange
– Abolizione delle stock option
– Abolition of stock options
– Abolizione dei monopoli privati di fatto, in particolare Telecom Italia, Autostrade, ENI, ENEL, Mediaset, Ferrovie dello Stato
– Abolition of private “de facto” monopolies, especially Telecom Italia, Autostrade, ENI, ENEL, Mediaset, Ferrovie dello Stato
– Vietare la nomina di persone condannate in via definitiva (es.Scaroni all’Eni) come amministratori in aziende aventi come azionista lo Stato o quotate in Borsa.
– Forbid the appointment of people with definitive criminal convictions (eg. Scaroni at ENI) as administrators in companies that either have the State as a shareholder or are quoted on the Stock Exchange
Uno dei problemi della nostra economia è la mancanza di investimenti esteri, ma chi giocherebbe sapendo che le carte sono truccate e il mazziere è un baro?
One of the problems of our economy is the lack of foreign investment. But who would play the game knowing that the cards are marked and the dealer is a cheat?
