Gli va applicata la damnatio memoriae in vita, (la cancellazione della memoria di una persona e la distruzione di qualsiasi traccia possa tramandarla ai posteri. Una pena particolarmente aspra riservata agli hostes, ossia ai nemici di Roma e del Senato).
