Ero con dei ragazzi.
I was with some young people.
Ho detto, tra una frase e un’altra, “…il caffè di Pisciotta”.

Sguardi interrogativi.
Question marks in their faces.

Mutismo e facce impassibili.
Muteness and blank faces.
Dato che nessuno di recente è stato assassinato in carcere con un caffè e sia Provenzano che Riina godono di ottima salute non ho trovato altri esempi.
Given that no one has recently been assassinated in prison with a coffee and that both Provenzano and Riina are in good health, I haven’t found other examples.
La televisione trasmetteva negli anni ’60 “I fratelli Karamazov” di Dostoevskij in prima serata, oggi è stato sostituito da “Il Grande Fratello” e dai “Cesaroni”.

At lunch-time on Sunday, with relatives and friends, the conformity of shared ignorance is a taboo that cannot be violated.
Chi approfondisce tra un maccherone e un’insalata è un diverso e un rompicoglioni che non sa stare a tavola.
Anyone who delves deeper between the maccheroni and a dish of salad is a person who is “different” and a trouble-maker who doesn’t know how to share food at the table.
