I sacrifici li devono fare i cittadini.
Sacrifices have to be made by the citizens.

I sacrifici li decidono i parlamentari.
Sacrifices are decided by the parliamentarians.

I parlamentari non fanno sacrifici.
The parliamentarians do not make sacrifices.

E’ il teatro dell’assurdo.
It’s the theatre of the absurd.

Forse abbiamo perso il senso della realtà.
Perhaps we have lost the sense of reality.

I media usano la tecnica della confusione e ci becchiamo come i polli di Renzo prima che gli sia tirato il collo.
The media use the “confusion technique” and we peck at each other like “Renzo’s chickens” before they have their necks wrung.

Proviamo a ridefinire le regole.
Let’s try and redefine the rules.

I sacrifici li devono fare tutti.
The sacrifices have to be made by everybody.

I sacrifici li decidono e votano i cittadini.
Sacrifices are decided by and voted on by the citizens.

I parlamentari fanno i sacrifici.
Parliamentarians make sacrifices.

Così va meglio.

In assoluto la misura più gettonata è l’introduzione dell’ICI per gli immobili del Vaticano, molti propongono l’uscita dall’Euro o il default immediato.
The measure that got the most support in absolute was the introduction of the ICI property tax on the properties of the Vatican. Many propose the exit from the Euro or immediate default.
