The M5S in Kazakhstan: Shalabayeva case is not concluded

“Ieri siamo arrivati ad Almaty e abbiamo subito incontrato Alma Shalabayeva.
“Yesterday we arrived in Almaty and straight away went to meet Alma Shalabayeva.

Avevamo un obbiettivo, fare con lei una diretta streaming.
Our objective was to talk to her and let people see her in live streaming.

Era ed é di fondamentale importanza ascoltare le sue parole senza intermediari.
It was of fundamental importance to listen to her words without intermediaries.

Alma fisicamente sta bene ma é molto provata dalle ultime settimane.
Physically Alma is OK but she has found the last few weeks very stressful.

Anche sua figlia sta bene, fortunatamente é piccola e non si é resa conto di quel che é accaduto.
Even her daughter is OK. It’s lucky that she’s still young and she hasn’t realised what’s been happening.

Dopo la mozione di sfiducia al “Ministro degli Interni a sua insaputa” Alfano, non votata dal PD (repetita iuvant), abbiamo notato un preoccupante calo di attenzione sul caso.
After the motion of no confidence in the “Minister for Internal Affairs who didn’t know what was happening” Alfano, (and it’s worth repeating that the PD didn’t vote on this), we’ve noticed a worrying fall in the level of attention given to this case.

In Parlamento nessuno più se ne é occupato, nemmeno i partiti della cosiddetta sinistra, sempre attenti, a parole, ai diritti violati.
In Parliament, nobody has been bothering about this any more, not even the so-called left wing party that always says it’s careful to watch out for the violation of rights.

Per questo abbiamo deciso di partire, per vederci più chiaro, per valutare lo stato di salute della donna e della bimba e per ricreare attenzione intorno a un caso che ha portato discredito all’Italia.
This is why we decided to go and get a clear picture and see how this woman and her daughter are faring as well as to draw attention to this case that has brought discredit to Italy.

Gli ultimi 20 anni di politica estera italiana sono stati un fallimento.
The last 20 years of Italian foreign policy have been a failure.

Sono tutti responsabili della perdita di prestigio del nostro Paese nel mondo.
Everyone is responsible for our country’s loss of prestige in the world.

Una perdita di prestigio che si paga inevitabilmente e il prezzo é carissimo:
A loss of prestige that will have to be paid for at a high price:

meno turismo, meno investimenti, più fuga di cervelli.
less tourism, less investment, an increase in the brain drain.

Sono responsabili i governi di centro-sinistra, quelli dei bombardamenti di Belgrado o quelli che non hanno mai pensato al ritiro dall’Afghanistan.
The ones responsible are the Centre-Left governments, the ones that bombed Belgrade and the ones that never thought of pulling out of Afghanistan.

Sono responsabili i governi di centro-destra che tutti ricordiamo per l’intervento in Iraq o per le presunte nipoti di capi di stato esteri corteggiate da anziani pregiudicati.
The ones responsible are the Centre-Right governments that we all remember for the intervention in Iraq and for the presumed nieces of foreign heads of State, wooed by old men with criminal records.

Ne é responsabile il governo Monti, quello tecnico, quello apprezzatissimo dall’Europa, ma oscenamente incapace di gestire il caso marò.
The Monti government is responsible, the technical government that was so highly appreciated by Europe, but so obscenely incompetent in handling the case of the Italian marines in India.

Ed é responsabile il governo Letta, il governo dell’inciucio perenne, che passerà alla storia per il sequestro e la deportazione di una donna e di sua figlia il tutto in violazione del diritto internazionale e il tutto senza che i Ministri degli Esteri, degli Interni e della Giustizia si accorgessero di nulla.
And the Letta government is responsible, the government of eternal stitch-ups, that will go down in history for the kidnapping and the deportation of a woman and her child in violation of international law and without the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, and of Internal Affairs noticing anything.

Ora come deputati abbiamo il dovere di costruire ulteriori azioni politiche sulla base dei contenuti che abbiamo raccolto e che continueremo a raccogliere nei prossimi giorni.
Now, in our capacities as deputies we have the duty to build further political action on the basis of the material that we are in the process of collecting.

Il dato certo é che i deputati del M5S sono stati i primi, e ad oggi, i soli, Parlamentari della Repubblica Italiana ad aver incontrato Alma.
What is certain, is that the M5S deputies are the first, and as of now, the only parliamentarians of the Republic of Italy to meet with Alma.

Ieri Alma ci ha detto cose molto importanti che contrastano con i risultati dell’inchiesta amministrativa ordinata dagli Interni.
Yesterday Alma told us some very important things that don’t match the results of the Ministry of Internal Affairs’ administrative investigation.

Ci ha ripetuto più volte di aver fatto richiesta di asilo politico alle autorità italiane, ci ha detto che le é stato buttato via il telefonino, ci ha raccontato per filo e per segno le drammatiche ore del blitz in casa sua.
She told us a number of times that she did ask the Italian authorities for political asylum. She told us that her mobile phone was thrown away. She gave us every detail of the dramatic time when her home was invaded.

Credeva che l’avrebbero uccisa, non capiva se erano poliziotti o era la mafia.
She believed they were about to kill her. She didn’t understand whether they were police officers or mafia.

Al di la’ di quello che ha fatto o non fatto il marito, Alma Shalabayeva é una donna espulsa ingiustamente da un Paese dove il rispetto dei diritti dovrebbe contare di più degli interessi economici di qualche padrino politico o di azienda.
Regardless of what her husband has or has not done, Alma Shalabayeva is a woman who has been unjustly expelled from a country where the respect for human rights should have greater weight than the business interests of some little political boss or some company.

Si’, dovrebbe, ma purtroppo non é così.
That’s how it should be, but unfortunately it’s not like that.

La politica estera la fa più l’ENI della Farnesina e la Ragion di Stato si nasconde ormai nel controcorrente di qualcuno.
Foreign policy is dictated more by the oil and gas company, ENI, than by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Farnesina Palace, and national interests are hidden somehow in someone’s counter-trend.
