La trasmissione che ti spiega perché sei in coda da due ore o che tra venti chilometri ti aspetta un incidente.
The broadcast that tells you why you have been in a queue for two hours or that in 20 kilometres there’s an accident.

E’ utile e non scherzo.
It’s useful and I’m not joking.

Almeno sai i motivi dell’attesa con 40 gradi sulla carrozzeria.
At least you know why you are waiting while 40 degrees of heat are battering the bodywork.

Infatti, di solito, quando il traffico riprende a scorrere, non trovi tracce che spieghino il blocco stradale.
In fact, usually, when the traffic starts to flow again, you find no traces that explain why the road was blocked.

Rimani con il dubbio.

Se un giorno mi ritroverò a pensare al momento in cui tutto è cambiato, forse mi ricorderò di una sera d’estate, della radio, dell’autostrada libera di fronte a me e di uno strano senso di pace.
If one day I find myself thinking of the day when everything changed, perhaps I will remember a summer evening, the radio, the empty motorway in front of me and a strange sense of peace.

Ho persino alzato il piede dall’acceleratore, mi sembrava quasi di disturbare.

Si ripiega sulla vacanza di un giorno.
People are falling back on the one-day holiday.

Li vedi ritornare la sera in città con la macchina strapiena di sacche, bici, skateborad e passeggini.
You see them coming back to the city in the evening with the car overflowing with bags, bicycles, skateboards, and baby buggies.

Chiedi “Finite le vacanze?”, ti rispondono “No, solo una gita fuori porta con il pranzo al sacco”.
You ask:”Is that the end of the holidays?” They reply: “No, just a day out in the open air for a picnic.”
