In questo mondo di ladri i politici arrestati, rinviati a giudizio, condannati occupano interi notiziari.
In this world of thieves the politicians that have been arrested, or that have been sent for trial, or that have been found guilty, are occupying whole news bulletins.

Neppure Ercole riuscirebbe a ripulire dallo sterco la moderna stalla di Augia che è diventata l’Italia.

Per molto meno in altri Paesi la gente sarebbe scesa in piazza, avrebbe assediato il Parlamento.

In Italia non succede.

Ci si interroga su questo mistero, su questa apparente ignavia, da anni, senza trovare una risposta convincente.

The definitive response to the Second Republic of Thieves, that is unpunished and tolerated by the general public, is however more simple.

Quanti sono gli italiani che vivono di politica?
How many Italians make a living out of politics?
I cerchi molteplici e senza fine che partono dai partiti, per continuare nelle municipalizzate, per proseguire nei concessionari di Stato e, in cerchi più larghi, nelle cooperative rosse e bianche a cui sono commissionate piccole e grandi opere inutili indebitando Stato, Regioni, Province, Comuni, nei centomila pensionati d’oro e d’argento, negli evasori totali, negli scudati fiscali, fino all’ultimo precario assunto in cambio di un voto?
The endless interconnecting circles that start off with the parties, and continue into the municipal corporations, going on to the State concessionaires and then in wider circles to the red cooperatives and the white cooperatives that get commissioned to do big and little useless jobs thus increasing the debts of the State, the regions, the provinces, and the towns, going on to the gold and silver pensioners to the total-tax-dodgers, to those protected by the fiscal shield right up to the latest precarious worker taken on in exchange for a vote?
I beneficiati sono legione e votano.
There are many who benefit and they vote.
Il Sistema sopravvive perché un numero sterminato di italiani ne trae vantaggio.
The System survives because an endless number of Italians get an advantage form it.
Parecchi milioni, un calcolo approssimativo di forse otto milioni che però va moltiplicato per almeno tre, il minimo nucleo familiare.
Many millions, at a rough count perhaps eight million but that has to be multiplied by at least three, the minimum size of a family unit.
Ventiquattro milioni di italiani, circa metà della popolazione che non vede, non sente, non parla e vota per i partiti.
Twenty four million Italians, about half the population that doesn’t see, doesn’t hear and doesn’t speak but does vote for the parties.
Un meccanismo alimentato, finché regge, da un debito pubblico insostenibile e dalla tassazione più alta d’Europa.
A mechanism that, for as long as it can keep going, is fuelled by an unsustainable public debt and by the highest taxation in Europe.
