I suoi castelli, i ponti romani, gli alpeggi, i torrenti che scendono tumultuosi nella Dora danno l’impressione che il tempo qui si sia fermato.
Its castles, Roman bridges, alpine slopes, its streams that tumble down into the river Dora give the impression that time here has stood still.
La stessa sede della Regione Valle d’Aosta sembra immutabile, un palazzo che ospita una Giunta pietrificata, più della roccia del monte Cervino.
The very seat of the administration of the Region of Valle d’Aosta seems unchangeable, a building that houses a petrified junta, even more petrified than the rocks of Mount Cervino.
Il suo presidente si chiama Augusto come l’imperatore romano che ha lasciato a sua memoria l’arco all’ingresso della città antica e che durò, insuperato, ben cinquant’anni.
Its president is called Augusto like the Roman emperor to whose memory is dedicated the arch at the entrance to the ancient city that has lasted unsurpassed for a good fifty years.

Il pirogassificatore è un enorme spreco di denaro pubblico, centinaia di milioni per la sua costruzione e la gestione.
The pyrogassifier is an enormous waste of public money, hundreds of millions needed to construct and manage it.
Soldi che potrebbero essere destinati alla raccolta differenziata e all’obiettivo rifiuti zero.
Money that could be used for differentiated collection of waste and achieving the objective of zero refuse.
L’incenerimento dei rifiuti appartiene al passato, così come Augusto Rollandin.
The incineration of refuse belongs to the past, just like Augusto Rollandin.
Il futuro è l’aria pulita.
