“Tra qualche giorno iniziano i saldi, e il Governo quest’anno propone la svendita del diritto al lavoro.

Non ti preoccupare, ti verrà dato un piccolo indennizzo, e così potremo fare finta di nulla.

Nessuna tutela reale, ma solo un ristoro economico, vero ricatto morale che fa leva sulla fragilità di chi oggi non si può permettere di perdere il lavoro, di chi è costretto ad adeguarsi, per sopravvivere, al detto “pochi, maledetti e subito”.

Le riforme dovrebbero nascere per dare maggiori opportunità alle persone, per crescere e migliorare la propria esistenza, invece la realtà che crea questa riforma è una maggiore instabilità sociale, precarietà di vita e impossibilità di costruire il futuro.
The aim of reforms should be to provide people with better opportunities to grow and to improve their lives, but instead the reality that this reform creates is that of greater social instability, greater precariousness of life and no way of building any sort of future.
Con questa riforma non si sostieni la famiglia, non si paga l’affitto, non si contrae un mutuo per l’acquisto di una casa, dunque non si consente una vita dignitosa.
With this reform we are not supporting the family because there is no way to pay rent or to take out a mortgage to buy a house so it is not enabling people to live a decent life.
E’ oggi, rileggendo il discorso di Calamadrei sulla Costituzione, ci si rende conto di quanto, negli anni, gli uomini che ne hanno avuto gli strumenti abbiano fallito.
Today, re-reading Calamadrei’s speech on the Constitution, you suddenly realise just how badly the men that have had its tools in their hands have failed over the years.
La politica non ha tradotto in fatti, gesti, buoni esempi, ciò che sessant’anni fa Calamadrei ci spronava a raggiungere, dopo averci consegnato la Costituzione più bella del mondo.
Politics has failed to translate that which Calamadrei spurred us on to achieve sixty years ago after having given us the most beautiful Constitution in the world into deeds, actions and good examples.
