Come ha correttamente scritto fin dall’inizio l’economista francese Jacques Sapir, del resto, non c’è mai stata alternativa per Tsipras tra l’austerità senza fine imposta da un nuovo Memorandum o il ritorno alla propria sovranità fiscale e monetaria.
As the French economist Jacques Sapir has rightly said from the beginning, there’s never been any alternative for Tsipras between endless austerity imposed by a new Memorandum or a return to monetary and fiscal sovereignty.

Terze vie non sono mai esistite per il futuro della Grecia, perché euro ed austerità sono due facce della stessa medaglia.
There has never been any third way for the future of Greece, because the Euro and austerity are two sides of the same coin.

“Al ricatto dell’ultimatum che ci chiede di accettare una severa e degradante austerità senza fine e senza prospettive di ripresa economica, vi chiedo di rispondere in maniera sovrana e orgogliosa, come la nostra storia ci chiede”, ha dichiarato ieri Alexis Tsipras nel suo discorso alla nazione dando una chiara e legittima indicazione di voto.
“The threat of an ultimatum that calls for strict and humiliating austerity without end, and without the prospect of ever standing on our own two feet, socially and financially. I am absolutely confident that your choice will honor our country’s history” are the words spoken yesterday by Alexis Tsipras in his speech to the nation giving a clear and legitimate indication of how to vote.

Il NO all’imposizione dei creditori è l’unica via di emancipazione dalle catene dell’euro e dell’austerità.
The only route to emancipation from the chains of the euro and of austerity is to say “NO” to what the creditors want to impose.

Non ha altra scelta il popolo greco.
The people of Greece have no other choice.

Dopo tre anni di “salvataggio” da parte della Troika in Grecia non esiste più una sanità.
After three years of “being saved” by the Troika, the health service in Greece no longer exists.

Sta sparendo la classe media.
The middle class is disappearing.

La disoccupazione è al 25% e i salari sono perlopiù quelli a cui aspira il governo italiano con il suo JobsAct.
Unemployment is at 25% and wages are mostly like those that the Italian government is aiming at with the “Jobs Act”.

L’aspettativa di vita è scesa di tre anni e sono aumentati i suicidi per ragioni economiche del 35% negli ultimi due anni.
Figures for life expectancy have fallen by 3 years and there’s been a 35% increase in the number of suicides for financial reasons in the last 2 years.

Il governo di Syriza ha tenuto un comportamento fermo e dignitoso, aprendo nuove vie diplomatiche, ad esempio con i paesi Brics, e non cedendo ai soliti ricatti ai quali cede quotidianamente il nostro premier non eletto da nessuno.
The Syriza government has maintained a constant and dignified stand, opening up new diplomatic channels, for example with the BRICS countries and it has not given in to the everyday blackmail that our prime minister (elected by nobody) submits to on a daily basis.

Certo Tsipras avrebbe avuto bisogno di una sponda da parte dei governi dell’Europa del sud, ma Renzi, Rajoy, Hollande e Pedro Passos Coelho hanno semplicemente seguito gli interessi di chi li ha messi al potere e non quelli delle loro popolazioni.
It’s true that Tsipras could have benefited from political support from the governments of southern Europe, but Renzi, Rajoy, Hollande and Pedro Passos Coelho have simply followed the interests of those that placed them into positions of power rather than the interests of their people.

Oggi partiti politici italiani, da destra a sinistra, responsabili del tradimento, della sudditanza nei confronti dell’UE fanno la corsa per dire: “siamo tutti greci”.
Today, Italian political parties on the right and on the left, those responsible for the betrayal, for the servility in relation to the EU, are racing forward to say “We are all Greeks”.

Ridicoli e ipocriti!
Ridiculous and hypocritical!

Questi partiti, con anni di governo, voti chiari e responsabilità precise hanno contribuito al dramma umanitario in corso ad Atene.
After spending years in government with clear voting and precise responsibilities, they have contributed to the humanitarian drama that is taking place in Athens.

Ancor più ridicoli sono coloro che hanno sempre sostenuto che lo strumento referendario non fosse uno strumento utile ma che ora esaltano la scelta di Alexis Tsipras.
Yet even more ridiculous are those who have always maintained that a referendum is not a useful tool, but yet they are delighted by the choice made by Alexis Tsipras.

Nell’Europa del sud qualcosa di epocale sta accadendo ed è questa la speranza più grande.
In southern Europe a massive shift is happening and this is what gives us the biggest hope.

Come Syriza, che proprio per questa ragione ha potuto tenere diritta la schiena nelle negoziazioni con la Troika, esistono una serie di movimenti e partiti non delegittimati da anni di potere e di compromessi con le lobby corporativo-finanziarie.

Just like Syriza that has been able to stand proud during the negotiations with the Troika, there are a number of movements and parties that have not lost their legitimacy after years of being in power and years of compromises with the corporate-financial lobbies.

A novembre il popolo spagnolo potrebbe tornare padrone del proprio destino e questo accadrà molto presto anche in Italia con il premier che fa la conta dei deputati rimasti.
In November the people of Spain could once more be masters of their own destiny and this will also happen very soon in Italy with the Prime Minister counting the number of deputies he has left.

Molto presto l’Europa del Sud spezzerà definitivamente le catene dell’euro e dell’austerità, iniziando un nuovo percorso di alleanza sulla base della solidarietà e non dell’austerità;
Very soon, southern Europe will definitively break the chains of the Euro and of austerity. It will start a new journey of alliance on the basis of solidarity and not austerity;

sulla base dei diritti delle persone e non delle merci;
on the basis of the rights of people and not the rights of merchandise;

sulla base della redistribuzione e non del profitto di banche e multinazionali.
on the basis of redistribution and not on the profits of banks and multinationals.

Libertà, sovranità, democrazia e dignità non sono negoziabili per un popolo.
For any nation, the values of liberty, sovereignty, democracy and dignity are never up for negotiation.
