Gli americani si vedono nel momento del petrolio
The Americans are seen in times of oil

Le navi americane stazionano davanti a Tripoli, a uno sputo, a 50 km in linea d’aria.
The American ships are positioned at spitting distance from Tripoli, just 50 Kilometres as the crow flies.

Sono arrivate ufficialmente per scopi umanitari.
Officially they have arrived for humanitarian reasons.

Non ci sono navi indiane, cinesi, iraniane e neppure russe, coreane, brasiliane, islandesi o sudafricane.
There are no Indian, Chinese, Iranian ships nor even are there Russian, Korean, Brazilian, Icelandic, or South African ones.

Solo americane più un po’ di flottiglia di qualche alleato minore.
Just American ones and a few bits of fleets of minor allies.

Quando c’è un conflitto nel mondo, l’aiuto pronto, immediato e soprattutto armato arriva dagli Stati Uniti d’America.

Certo, bombardarono anche i civili delle principali città italiane, da Roma a Milano, ma sono incidenti di percorso che possono succedere in guerra.
Certainly they also bombed civilians in the main cities of Italy, from Rome to Milan, but those are incidents along the way that can happen in war.

Alleati che sbagliano.
Allies that make mistakes.

What’s needed are humanitarian interventions, with UN forces acting as a buffer, welcoming the refugees coming from the war zones.

Non è necessario, e neppure auspicabile, che intervengano le Forze Armate dello zio Sam.
What’s not necessary, and neither is it to be wished for, is the intervention of “Uncle Sam’s” Armed Forces.

Chiunque vincesse, alla fine vincerebbe solo lui.
Whoever were to win, in the end would be the only winner.
