Per evitare la catastrofe economica e ripartire, è necessario fare tre cose:
To avoid the economic catastrophe and to start off again, three things have to be done:
cambiare la legge elettorale, un governo di salute pubblica per il tempo necessario a far passare la tempesta e il ritorno alle urne.
change the election law, a government of public health for the time needed to let the tempest pass and new elections.
Una nuova legge elettorale è già disponibile, lo è da quattro anni, è “Parlamento Pulito” la proposta di iniziativa popolare che prevede l’elezione diretta dei candidati, un massimo di due mandati, nessun condannato definitivo eleggibile.
A new election law is already available, it has been there for 4 years, it’s “Parlamento Pulito” {Clean Up Parliament}, the popular initiative proposal that sets out the direct election of candidates, a maximum of two mandates, and no one who has been definitively convicted eligible for election.
Va discussa al più presto al Senato e poi alla Camera.
It has to be discussed as soon as possible in the Senate and then in the Lower House.

L’11 luglio alcuni parlamentari di Pd, Idv e Sel hanno depositato in Cassazione la proposta di referendum abrogativo della attuale legge elettorale.
On 11 July a few parliamentarians of the PD, IDV, and Sel have laid before the Court of Cassation the referendum proposal to abolish the current election law.
Ora lanceranno banchetti estivi per raccogliere entro fine settembre almeno 500.000 firme.
Now they will set up summer stalls to collect at least 500,000 signatures.
Sarà un trionfo carnevalesco di un’opposizione i cui membri sono stati tutti “nominati” (senza che nessuno muovesse un dito) nelle ultime due tornate elettorali: nel 2006 e nel 2008.

Le firme per una nuova Italia sono già state raccolte, sono 350.000, giacciono da quasi un lustro, per unica responsabilità dei partiti, nelle cantine del Senato.
The signatures for a new Italy have already been collected. There are 350,000. They have been lying there for nearly five years, solely the responsibility of the parties, in the cellars of the Senate.
Dovrebbero essere discusse ora. Non dopo le vacanze.
They should be discussed now, not after the holidays.
Per la maggioranza degli italiani le vacanze sono ormai un miraggio, mentre i parlamentari fanno un mese di villeggiatura e chiudono il Parlamento fino a settembre.
For most Italians, the holidays are by now just a mirage, while the parliamentarians have a month of rest and close down parliament until September.
Intanto il Paese va a fuoco nelle borse di tutto il mondo.

Al rientro dei parlamentari in bermuda, sabato 10 settembre 2011 sarò davanti al Parlamento per chiedere che sia immediatamente discussa la legge Parlamento Pulito in una sessione pubblica che come primo firmatario ho il dovere e l’obbligo di illustrare.
When the parliamentarians come back to Parliament in their Bermuda shorts, on Saturday 10 September 2011, I will be in front of Parliament to ask for the “Clean Up Parliament” law to be discussed immediately in a public session and as the first person to sign, I have the duty and the obligation to explain it.
