Forse un veneto, più di altri italiani, non accetta l’idea del fallimento.
Perhaps a person from Veneto, more than other Italians, doesn’t accept the idea of going bust.
La sua cultura non lo prevede.
His culture doesn’t envisage it.
Lo considera una vergogna.
He considers it to be shameful.
La chiusura di un’azienda è un evento che NON può succedere.
The closure of a company is an event that can NOT happen.
Non è contemplato.
It’s not conceivable.
I suoi dipendenti sono spesso persone con cui lavora insieme ogni giorno in ufficio o in fabbrica.
The employees are people that he works with every day in the office or in the factory.
Il Veneto è la patria delle piccole e piccolissime imprese, dei distretti industriali.

Aveva due figli.
He had two children.
Si è seduto alla scrivania del suo ufficio e si è ucciso.
He was sitting at his desk in his office and he killed himself.
Per Natale avrebbe dovuto mettere in cassa integrazione i suoi dipendenti, forse non sarebbe riuscito neppure a pagare stipendi e tredicesime.
For Christmas he would have had to lay off his employees, perhaps he wouldn’t have even managed to pay the wages and the “thirteenth month” {end of year payment}.
I clienti ritardavano i pagamenti, le banche avrebbero chiesto di rientrare dalle linee di finanziamento e secondo fonti locali “vantava crediti per oltre 200mila euro verso la pubblica amministrazione.” Per la moglie il gesto è dovuto al “Sistema in cui nessuno paga”.
Clients were delaying payment, it seems that the banks had asked for the repayment of loans and according to local sources “he claimed to have credit for more than 200 thousand euro with the public administration.” For his wife, his action was due to the “System in which no one pays”
