Serpico

Serpico, acronimo di Servizi per i Contribuenti, è un’applicazione della Sogei per controllare i conti degli italiani.
Serpico, the acronym for “Servizi per i Contribuent” {Services for the taxpayers}. Is a Sogei application to check up on the accounts of the Italians?

Sogei è una società di informatica passata da Telecom Italia al Ministero dell’Economia nel 2002.
Sogei is a computing company that went from Telecom Italia to the Ministry of the Economy in 2002.

Le informazioni che ci riguardano saranno contenute in un milione di miliardi di byte di memoria.
The information relating to us will be in a million billion bytes of memory.

Duemila server che gestiscono 22.000 dati ogni secondo.
Two thousand servers handling 22,000 items a second.

Grazie a questa potenza di fuoco ogni singola transazione dei nostri conti verrà esaminata.
Thanks to this firepower, every single transaction of the accounts of us Italians will be examined.

Ogni versamento, ogni bonifico dovrà avere il suo perché, le sue motivazioni.
Every item paid in, every bank transfer, will have to have its reason, the motives.

Questo sarà possibile dal primo gennaio 2012, quando tutti i conti correnti saranno a disposizione del Fisco anche senza accertamenti in corso.
This will be possible from 01 January 2012 when all current accounts will be available to the Tax authorities even without on-going investigations.

Stiamo scivolando lentamente verso il controllo totale della vita dei cittadini.

Chi ci ha portato in questa situazione, a partire dai parlamentari, renda pubblico in Rete i movimenti del suo conto corrente degli ultimi cinque anni.
Let those who have brought us to this situation, starting with the parliamentarians, publish on the internet the transactions on their current accounts for the last five years.

Ogni membro di un’amministrazione pubblica che ha indebitato i cittadini restituisca i soldi.
Let every member of the public administration that has got the citizens into debt, give back the money.

C’è poi una domanda da fare.
Then there’s a question to be asked.

A cosa servono le tasse se i nostri servizi pubblici fanno schifo e quei pochi che funzionano sono falcidiati dai tagli?
What’s the use of our taxes if public services are disgusting and the few that function are chopped to pieces with cuts?

Se pago voglio essere servito e riverito.
If I pay I want to be served and respected.

Il padrone di questo Paese è il cittadino, non un Governo di banchieri neppure eletto.
The master in this country is the citizen, not a Government of bankers that are not even elected.  

Loro non si arrenderanno mai (ma gli conviene?) Noi neppure.
They will never give up (but is it in their interests?). Neither will we.
