Cosa succederà nel 2012?
What will happen in 2012?
“Chissà che sarà di noi?/ Lo scopriremo solo vivendo”.
“Who knows what will happen to us?/We’ll discover it just by living it”.
Qualche indizio però c’è già.
However there are already a few clues.
Sarà un anno di sopravvivenza al quale seguirà il 2013, un anno ancora più duro.
It’ll be a year of survival followed by 2013 which will be even harsher.
Ci aspetta un biennio di ferro.
We’re in for a couple of cast iron years.
La disoccupazione esploderà.
Unemployment will explode.
Le famiglie spenderanno meno e attingeranno ai risparmi (chi li ha) per cercare di mantenere il loro tenore di vita.
Families will spend less and will dip into their savings (if they have any) to try and keep up their standard of living.
La liquidità diventerà un bene sempre più raro.
Liquidity will become something that is ever more rare.

Banks will not lend money to companies; many will go bust, squeezed between the reduction in production and the impossibility of getting access to credit.
Si completerà l’effetto domino iniziato nel 2008.
There will be the completion of the domino effect that started in 2008.
Dopo le banche e gli Stati il contagio toccherà le imprese.
After the banks and the states, the contagion will affect the companies.
Il problema è che dopo le imprese non c’è più nulla.
The problem is that after the companies there’s nothing.
I magazzini si riempiranno di beni invenduti.
The shops will fill up with unsold goods.
Le strade di persone senza un lavoro.
The streets with unemployed people.
A cosa servono le merci se nessuno può comprarle?
What’s the use of merchandise if no one can buy it?
La grande macchina del commercio mondiale rallenterà fino quasi a fermarsi.
The great machinery of world commerce will slow down almost to a halt.
Molti Paesi entreranno in recessione, l’Italia avrà una diminuzione superiore all’uno per cento e sono ottimista.
Many countries will go into recession Italy will have a drop of more than one per cent and I’m an optimist.
Senza soldi, senza lavoro e con il Paese in recessione aumenterà l’emigrazione verso l’estero, già in atto, soprattutto dei giovani, non solo in Europa, ma anche verso la Cina e il Sud America.
Without money, without work and with the country in recession, there’ll be an increase in emigration abroad that’s already happening, especially among young people, not just within Europe, but also to China and South America.
Per chi rimarrà in Italia la vita sarà grama.
For those staying in Italy, life will be tough.
I prezzi aumenteranno insieme all’inflazione, come è avvenuto in Grecia.
Prices will increase, together with inflation, as has happened in Greece.
Il Governo dovrà far fronte agli interessi sui titoli che si avvicineranno con i nuovi tassi ai 100 miliardi di euro.

Per farlo aumenterà le tasse sui beni primari e pagherà parte delle pensioni, degli stipendi pubblici e dei debiti con i privati in Btp.
