Comunicato politico numero cinquanta

E’ la prima volta dal dopoguerra che tutti i partiti, tutte le istituzioni, tutte le televisioni e (quasi) tutti i giornalisti si sono concentrati su di un unico bersaglio elettorale: “il MoVimento 5 Stelle”.
It’s the first time since the war that all the parties, all the institutions, all the TV channels and (nearly) all the journalists have concentrated on a single election target: “il MoVimento 5 Stelle” {the 5 Star MoVement}.
Tutti d’accordo per mantenere lo status quo.
They are all in agreement to maintain the status quo.
Se un movimento di popolo che rifiuta qualunque finanziamento pubblico, odiato dalla Confindustria e dai sindacati, dalla destra e dalla sinistra, attaccato persino dalla Presidenza della Repubblica e dai maggiori quotidiani nazionali, fa così paura, significa che un terremoto sociale è in arrivo.
If a popular movement that refuses to have any sort of public financing, that is hated by the Confindustria and by the trade unions, by the right and by the left, that’s even attacked by the office of the President of the Republic and by the major national newspapers, that creates so much fear, it means that a social earthquake is about to happen.
Il MoVimento 5 Stelle è il cambiamento che non si può arrestare, è il segno dei tempi.
The MoVimento 5 Stelle {5 Star MoVement} is the change that cannot be stopped. It is the sign of the times.
E’ l’avvento di una democrazia popolare che pretende di decidere, di controllare il destino del suo Paese, del suo Comune, della sua vita.
It’s the arrival of a popular democracy that insists on making decisions, on controlling the destiny of its country, of its town, of its life.
In Italia non c’è mai stata la democrazia.
In Italy there’s never been democracy.
Si è passati dalla monarchia, al fascismo, alla partitocrazia.
There’s been the passage from the Monarchy to Fascism to Party-ocracy.

In questi giorni è stato cancellato un referendum sulla caccia in Piemonte che ne prevedeva il divieto alla domenica e la limitazione delle specie cacciabili.
In recent days there’s been the cancellation of a referendum about hunting in Piedmont that would stop hunting on Sundays and would limit the range of species that can be hunted.
Il referendum giaceva nei cassetti da 24 anni, una generazione, da quando erano state raccolte le firme necessarie, ed è stato abolito dalla Regione Piemonte con il pretesto che non ci sono soldi.
The referendum has been in the filing cabinet for 24 years, a generation, since the time when the required number of signatures were collected, and it was abolished by the Region of Piedmont on the pretext of insufficient money.
Per la democrazia mancano i soldi…
For democracy there’s a lack of money …
Che dire a questa gente se non che per loro è finita, che devono togliersi di mezzo?
What can be said to these people unless it’s that their time is over, that they have to get out of the way?
Il MoVimento 5 Stelle ha come obiettivo il risveglio della coscienza sociale, della partecipazione popolare.
The 5 Star MoVement has the aim of reawakening the social conscience, of reawakening popular participation.
Ogni italiano deve mettersi in gioco per il suo Paese.
Each Italian must get involved for their country.
Il M5S vuole introdurre il referendum propositivo senza quorum, l’obbligatorietà della discussione parlamentare delle leggi di iniziativa popolare con voto palese, la scelta del candidato, il bilancio partecipativo.
The M5S wants to bring in the propositional referendum without quorum, the obligation to have a parliamentary discussion on the popular initiative laws with public voting, the choice of candidate, and the making of budget decisions with the participation of the people.
I partiti dovrebbero ringraziare il Fato per l’esistenza del MoVimento 5 Stelle, un movimento di cittadini, pacifico, legalitario.
The parties should thank Fate for the existence of MoVimento 5 Stelle, a movement made up of citizens, who are peaceful and law-abiding.
Se non ci fosse cosa sarebbe infatti di loro?
In fact, if it didn’t exist, what would become of them?
Senza un’alternativa democratica, nei tempi pericolosi, imprevedibili che ci attendono, resterebbe solo la dittatura e la ricerca furiosa dei colpevoli.
Without a democratic alternative, in the dangerous and unpredictable times that are before us, there would only be dictatorship and the furious hunt for the guilty.
I nomi li conoscono tutti.
We all know their names.
E’ finita per voi, finita.

Quando uscite spegnete la luce, posate il maltolto e chiudete la porta.

Loro non si arrenderanno mai (ma gli conviene?).
