“A circa 24 ore dalla sentenza della corte d’Assise di Torino che ha assolto i militanti del movimento No Tav dall’accusa di terrorismo (finalmente una sentenza giuridicamente decente!), è iniziata una serie di attentati ai treni ad opera di “anarco-insurrezionalisti”.
“Within 24 hours of the ruling handed down by the Turin Court of Assizes that acquitted the militants of the No Tav movement on all the terrorism charges against them (finally a legally decent ruling!), a series of attacks were launched against the trains by the “insurrectionalist anarchists.

Ovvio il coro di ministri e politicanti vari che hanno subito rilanciato dicendo che la sentenza era un errore e che questo è terrorismo.
Obviously the chorus made up of ministers and various politicians immediately responded by stating that the court’s ruling was a mistake and that this is terrorism.

Negli stessi giorni, era tratto in arresto un gruppo di neo fascisti a Pescara.
During the course of the next few days a group of neo-fascists were placed under arrest in Pescara.

>>> In particolare il gruppo di eversori, denominato “Avanguardia ordinovista”, avrebbe avuto in mente decine di omicidi di politici, magistrati e di preti progressisti, sino a provocare un rivolgimento istituzionale per il quale aveva bella e pronta una nuova Costituzione che, fra l’altro, avrebbe abolito il diritto di voto.
In particular, a subversive group known as the Avanguardia ordinovista was apparently planning the murders of dozens of politicians , magistrates and progressive priests in order to overturn the country’s institutions, for which the group had already drafted a new Constitution which, inter-alia, would have abolished the right to vote.

Insomma siamo in pieno remake degli anni settanta, fra attentati “anarchici” ai treni e complotti neo nazisti.
In other words we are re-living the Seventies, “anarchistic”attacks on the trains, neo-Nazi conspiracies and all.

Qualche differenza, per la verità, ci sarebbe:
There are some differences however, if truth be told:

ad esempio è possibile che gli attentatori ferroviari questa volta siano effettivamente anarchici e non fascisti come nel 1969, ma resterebbe da vedere se fra loro non ci sia qualche suggeritore di ben altra estrazione.
for example, this time the railway bombers may well be anarchists and not fascists as was the case back in 1969, but it remains to be seen whether or not there is perhaps someone with very different origins amongst their number.

Così come è plausibilissimo che un gruppo di poveri spostati di provincia abbia progettato, magari in preda ai fumi dell’alcool, omicidi politici a go go ed abbia sognato una nuova Italia fascista.
Just as it is totally plausible that a group of poor provincial misfits, perhaps under the influence of alcohol, may have planned a spate of political assassinations and dreamed of a new, fascist Italy.

Tutto sta a vedere quale fosse poi la reale pericolosità del gruppo e cosa ci fosse di concreto nella preparazione di questi omicidi.
It remains to be seen just how dangerous this group really is and whether there was anything concrete in the preparation for those murders.

E’ sempre possibile che un gruppo di dieci o venti esaltati, assolutamente non in grado di sovvertire le istituzioni, possa benissimo essere capace di fare un omicidio ed è giusto prevenirli.
It is always a possibility that a group of ten or twenty hotheads that are absolutely unable to subvert the institutions could nevertheless be capable of committing a murder and it is only right that they be prevented from doing so.

Ma di qui a parlare di una “pericolosa trama fascista” ne corre…
However, from this to talking about a dangerous fascist plot” is quite a jump.

Per un momento ho drizzato anche io le orecchie, sentendo il nome di una vecchia conoscenza come Rutilio Sermonti, ideologo e fra i massimi dirigenti di Ordine Nuovo.
For a moment I also pricked up my ears upon hearing the name of an old acquaintance, Rutilio Sermonti, an idealist and one of the top leaders of Ordine Nuovo.

Sermonti non è né un pagliaccio, né uno che, per quanto novantenne, possa mischiarsi ad una sconclusionata banda di paese, per cui sorgeva il dubbio che gli arrestati potessero essere solo una scheggia di una cosa più complessa e numerosa.
Sermonti is neither a fool nor someone who, even at ninety years of age, would get mixed up with some unknown and inconsequential village group, so this raises some doubts that those arrested may be merely a faction of some larger and more complex grouping.

Ma è bastato poco per capire che Sermonti non c’entra nulla con questa sconclusionata riedizione dei fasti ordinovisti.
But it didn’t take long to realise that Sermonti has absolutely nothing to do with this inconsequential replay of past new-order splendour.

Il fatto è che, come dice il vecchio Marx, la storia talvolta si ripete, ma la seconda volta sotto forma di farsa.
The fact remains that, as Marx once said, history does sometimes repeat itself, but the second time around in the form of a farce.

Ho lavorato a lungo sulla strategia della tensione e questa me ne sembra una cattiva imitazione con un fortissimo sentore di finto.
For a long time I worked on the strategy of tension and in my opinion this is a poor imitation thereof that smells decidedly fake.

Al massimo abbiamo davanti due sparutissimi gruppi di decerebrati.
At worst what we have here are two very small groups of mentally unbalanced people.

Nulla che possa giustificare il clamore mediatico che se ne sta facendo con titoloni in prima pagina.
There is nothing to justify the media uproar that is being made about it, with huge front-page headlines.

Siamo seri, qui l’unica cosa che ricorda davvero gli anni settanta è l’opportuna coincidenza di certi episodi con il profilarsi delle scadenze politiche, sociali ed economiche:
Let’s be serious, the only thing here that is truly a remainder of the Seventies is the convenient coincidence of certain events taking place just when political, social and economic tenures are expiring:

elezione del Presidente, subito dopo elezioni regionali, approvazione delle riforme istituzionali, probabile ripresa della crisi a breve tempo, incombente protesta sindacale per la riforma dell’art.18… situazioni in cui il fantasma del terrorismo può far comodo.
namely the upcoming Presidential elections immediately after the regional elections, the approval of the institutional reforms, a probable recovery from the crisis in the short term and the impending trade union protests against the reform of Art.18,… all of which are situations in which the spectre of terrorism could be very useful indeed.

Soprattutto alla vigilia di una elezione quirinalizia così incerta, che può degenerare in un marasma senza precedenti ed occorre forzare un po’ la mano ai “grandi elettori”.
Especially on the eve of a decidedly uncertain State Presidential election, which could degenerate into unprecedented chaos and it is therefore necessary to force the hands of the “big voters” just a little.

E’ un numero che abbiamo visto troppe volte ed anche i particolari sono stucchevolmente simili:
These are numbers that we have seen too many times before and even the details are tediously similar:

gli attentati ai treni, l’armamentario fascista, il linguaggio delle rivendicazioni, persino la trovata del nome del gruppo pescarese che è una bella sintesi fra “Avanguardia Nazionale” ed “Ordine Nuovo”.
the attacks on trains, the fascist tools, the terminology of the claims of responsibility and even the selection the name of the group from Pescara, which coincidentally just happens to be convenient mixture of “Avanguardia Nazionale” and “Ordine Nuovo.

Ci mancano le banche e le Br.
All that is missing are the banks and the Br.

Su: almeno un po’ di fantasia…
Come on, at least a bit of imagination please…

Detto questo, ugualmente c’è di che essere preoccupati:
This said however, there is still enough to be concerned about:

non vorremmo che questa mini serie televisiva “Il ritorno del terrorismo” preludesse a qualche botto più serio, magari per dare un bel giro di vite all’opposizione.
we wouldn’t want this TV mini-series called “The return of terrorism ” to lead to something far more serious, turning on the screws on the opposition perhaps.
