“La mia esperienza con Equitalia ha origini lontane.
“My experience with Equitalia goes back a long way.
Nel 2004 , dopo anni di disavventure economiche dovute ad un socio in una ditta che ha lasciato milioni di lire di debiti, mi sono trovato con un piccolo gruzzolo di euro in mano frutto di un risarcimento per un incidente stradale ed ho deciso di sistemare tutte le pendenze arretrate (INPS, multe, bolli auto ecc…).
In 2004, after years of financial ups and downs that came about because of a business partner who left debts amounting to millions of lire, at one point, I found a small sum of money in my hand that I got as compensation after a traffic accident and I decided to pay off all the outstanding debts (INPS, fines, road tax etc….).
Mi reco all’allora Uniriscossioni e mi faccio fare un conteggio totale e pago la cifra che mi viene richiesta.
I went off to the appropriate agency at that time, called Uniriscossioni, and I asked them to tell me how much I owed, and I paid the amount they said.
Dopo 6 o 7 anni mi arriva una cartella da parte di Equitalia riguardante bolli auto che io avevo “parzialmente” pagato.
6 or 7 years later, I got a demand from the new tax collecting agency, Equitalia, telling me that I had only “partially” paid the road tax.
Mi reco negli uffici di Equitalia con la ricevuta di Uniriscossioni riguardante quei bolli auto con su scritto pagato.
I went to the Equitalia office taking with me the receipt from Uniriscossioni that showed the details of the road tax and it was stamped “paid”.
e mi viene detto che mi era stato fatto pagare solamente un condono che però non spettava per la tassa di proprietà sulle automobili e che dunque dovevo saldare il restante.
And they told me that what I had paid was just a “condono” {a payment to excuse a late payment} and that in fact that was not appropriate in relation to a road tax, and so I still had to pay the rest of the amount I owed.
Ora, io avendo in mano un documento con il quale l’allora agenzia di riscossione considerava chiusa la pratica, mi sono rifiutato di pagare ulteriormente per un eventuale sbaglio loro ed adesso Equitalia minaccia di mettermi sotto fermo amministrativo l’auto.
Now, since I was in possession of a document issued by the tax collection agency of the day, saying that the payments were up to date, I refused to pay more.It seemed that someone had made a mistake and now Equitalia was threatening to put a block on my car to prevent anyone from using it.
