Today the Commission is launching a second call for projects worth €50 million under the Urban Innovative Actions initiative.
La Commissione europea lancia oggi un secondo bando per un importo di 50 milioni di EUR a titolo dell’iniziativa Azioni urbane innovative.
Cities can directly apply and get EU funding for innovative urban projects.

The new call, with a budget of €50 million from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), will reward the most innovative projects in three categories, in line with the priorities of the Urban Agenda for the EU:
Con un bilancio di 50 milioni di EUR a titolo del Fondo europeo di sviluppo regionale (FESR), il nuovo bando premierà i progetti più innovativi in tre categorie, coerentemente con le priorità dell’agenda urbana per l’UE:
the integration of migrants, urban mobility and the circular economy.

The call runs from today until mid-April 2017.

The Pact of Amsterdam (30 May 2016) and the Council Conclusions (24 June 2016) launched the Urban Agenda for the EU and laid out its key principles.
Il patto di Amsterdam del 30 maggio 2016 e le conclusioni del Consiglio del 24 giugno 2016 hanno dato avvio all’agenda urbana dell’UE e definito i suoi principi fondamentali.
At the heart of the Urban Agenda, 12 partnerships allow cities, Member States, EU Institutions, NGOs and business partners to work together on an equal basis to improve quality of life in urban areas.
Al cuore dell’agenda urbana, dodici partenariati consentono a città, Stati membri, istituzioni europee, ONG e imprese partner di collaborare su un piano paritario per migliorare la qualità della vita nelle zone urbane.
Four pilot partnerships have already started, on the inclusion of migrants, on air quality, on housing and on urban poverty.
Sono già stati avviati quattro partenariati pilota, che riguardano l’inclusione dei migranti, la qualità dell’aria, gli alloggi e la povertà urbana.
In line with the thematic priorities of the Urban Agenda, the Urban Innovative Actions initiative provides EU cities with resources to finance innovative projects, with a total envelope of €372 million from the ERDF over 2014–2020.
In linea con le priorità tematiche dell’agenda urbana, l’iniziativa Azioni urbane innovative offre alle città dell’UE le risorse per finanziare progetti innovativi, con una dotazione complessiva di 372 milioni di EUR del FESR per il periodo 2014-2020.
In the first call, 18 projects were selected among 378 applications.
In occasione del primo bando, sono stati selezionati 18 progetti su 378 domande presentate.
