European Court of Auditors signs off EU accounts for 11th time in a row

The European Court of Auditors gave the EU annual accounts a clean bill of health for the 11th year in a row, finding them true and fair.
È l’undicesimo anno consecutivo che la Corte dei conti europea dichiara in buona salute i conti annuali dell’UE, definendoli corretti e fedeli alla realtà.

The Commission’s aim as a manager of the EU budget is to ensure that, once a programme is closed and all controls are carried out, the level of error remains below 2% – the level considered by the Court as material.

The Commission estimates that, after corrections and recoveries, the remaining level of error for the 2017 expenditure will be below 1%.
