The lighted torch is no longer a symbol of peace.

Delle Olimpiadi mi infastidiscono i record fasulli, gli sport olimpici praticati da quattro gatti, gli atleti dopati, l’entusiasmo a comando degli spettatori, le premiazioni in fila per tre. I russi che hanno invaso la Georgia, gli americani che occupano l’Iraq, la Cina che schiaccia il Tibet non hanno nessun diritto morale di partecipare o di ospitare i Giochi Olimpici.
The Russians who invaded Georgia, the Americans who invaded Iraq, China who squashes Tibet have no moral right to participate in or to host the Olympic Games.

L’uomo non è più il centro delle Olimpiadi, le Nazioni hanno preso il suo posto.
Man is no longer the centre of the Olympics, the Nations have taken his place.

La grancassa mediatica delle medaglie e delle medagliette ci fa sentire più italiani, più messicani, più coreani.
