L’Italia ha bisogno di futuro
Italy needs a future

Domenica per il Presidente del Consiglio la crisi “c’era ma non era grave”, fino al giorno prima “non c’era”, ieri “era grave ma senza miseria”.
On Sunday according to the President of the Council, the crisis “was there but it wasn’t serious”. Up until the day before that “it wasn’t there”, yesterday “it was there but it was without poverty”.

Silvio Berlusconi, come ho già scritto, è inadeguato a gestire la crisi, il suo piano di ripresa economica si ferma all’edilizia delle lobby, al nucleare dell’Enel, e alle televisioni di cui è proprietario.
As I have already written, Silvio Berlusconi is incapable of managing the crisis, and his plan for the relaunching of the economy is limited to the construction of the lobbies, to Enel’s nuclear projects and the TV networks that he owns.

La sua visione del futuro per l’Italia è piuttosto semplicistica: un’elité di amici fatta di palazzinari e finanzieri, molto ricchi, il resto della popolazione divisa in carpentieri, disoccupati, e pensionati con la social card.
His vision for Italy’s future is pretty simplistic: an elite made up of very rich property owners and financiers, and the rest of the population made up of carpenters, unemployed people and pensioners with the social card.

Ma Berlusconi è oltremodo ottimista.
But Berlusconi is extremely optimist.

Perché?
Why?

I cittadini capirebbero meglio il suo stato d’animo dalla visione delle cifre che ha intascato, riportate in un articolo di Italia Oggi, per i dividendi delle sue società.
The citizens would understand his state of mind better from the figures he has pocketed, the ones reported in an article in Italia Oggi, for the dividends of his companies.

La cifra è da capogiro: 160 milioni, il 50% più di quelli ricevuti nel 2008.
The figure sets your head spinning: 160 million, that is an additional 50% with respect to the amount for 2008.

I risultati delle stesse società, spiega l’articolo con una punta di sarcasmo, sono in “controtendenza” rispetto al mercato, grazie alle concessioni statali, preciserei.
The results of the same companies, as explained in the article with a touch of sarcasm, are “against the trend” in relation to the market, and I would point out that that is thanks to the concessions.

In un momento di crisi come questo non è pensabile mantenere le concessioni di Stato ai prezzi di “cortesia”, ovvero quasi gratuite.
In a moment of crisis like the present one, it is not thinkable to keep the State concessions at “courtesy” prices, or basically almost free.

Lo Stato chiede sacrifici alla popolazione e vanno quindi subito riviste, nei confronti di chi realizza enormi profitti grazie allo sfruttamento di infrastrutture pubbliche, le rendite di concessione.
The State asks for sacrifices from the population and thus the income from the concessions must be reviewed immediately, in relation to the one who is making enormous profits thanks to the exploitation of public infrastructure.

Per le concessioni delle frequenze su cui trasmettono le reti Mediaset, lo Stato riceve la miseria dell’1% del fatturato di RTI, una delle tante società di famiglia Berlusconi, da cui non transitano neppure gli enormi ricavi pubblicitari ottenuti grazie ad esse.
For the concessions of the frequencies used for broadcasting by the Mediaset networks, the State receives the pittance of 1% of RTI turnover, one of the many companies belonging to the Berlusconi family and this does not see the enormous income from advertising.

Una beffa.
It’s a joke.

Il 20 gennaio nell’articolo “Berlusconi, mister unpercento” scrissi che avrei depositato, così come poi ho fatto, un’interrogazione a risposta scritta per chiedere spiegazioni al ministro dello Sviluppo economico.
On 20 January in the article Berlusconi, ”mister one per cent” I stated that I was about to present a question requiring a written reply to ask the Minister for Economic Development for an explanation. I have now done this.

Sono in attesa di quella risposta, che non è ancora arrivata, ma che continuerò a chiedere.
I am waiting for the reply, that has not yet been forthcoming, but I will continue to ask for it.
