Ovviamente questo fenomeno provoca una serie di sfide di problemi, che la nostra società dovrà affrontare.
Obviously this phenomenon raises a number of challenging problems that society will have to overcome.

Primo fra tutti l’aumento della popolazione inattiva con il rovesciamento della piramide demografica che non avrà più una base larga e una punta stretta, ma sta cominciando ad essere una piramide rovesciata;
The biggest of these is the increase in the economically inactive population and the overturning of the demographics pyramid, which will no longer have a large base at the bottom and a narrow point at the top, but is beginning to resemble an upside-down pyramid.

questo comporterà che una notevole porzione della popolazione, già adesso è al 30%, lo sarà ancora di più nel 2050, sarà inattiva, quindi necessiterà di vivere con il sussidio pensionistico.
This means that a sizeable portion of the population, already at 30% right now and destined to grow even more by 2050, will be economically inactive and will therefore have to rely pension subsidies in order to survive.

Questo sussidio pensionistico deve in qualche maniera essere compensato però da contribuzione versata da popolazione invece attiva che in realtà invece che aumentare si sta progressivamente riducendo.
These pension subsidies will have to be paid for somehow, and it will have to be by pension contributions paid in by the economically active population, which is declining progressively instead of increasing.

L’alimentazione sana è un dovere di Stato.
Healthy feeding is the State’s duty.

Le istituzioni devono introdurre, e verificare che vengano rispettate, regole chiare per una corretta e sana alimentazione nelle strutture pubbliche e private, a partire dagli asili, per la tutela della salute dei nostri figli, che ormai si ammalano delle stesse malattie degli adulti.
The institutions have to introduce clear rules regarding proper and healthy feeding in public and private institutions and then check to ensure that these rules are followed, starting in the primary schools, so as to protect the health of our children, who are at this point already beginning to contract the same illnesses as the Country’s adults.

Sono precoci anche in questo.
Even in this they are proving to be very precocious indeed.

Il Blog è andato in visita in un asilo milanese, “Il giardino degli elfi” gestito da Valentina Barbavara, che, con l’aiuto di Franco Berrino, epidemiologo, e di una consulente alimentare, Elena Alquati, ha da tempo introdotto un menu a base vegetale che ha riscosso un grande successo presso genitori e bambini.
The Blog went to a nursery school in Milan called Il giardino degli elfi (The Elves’ Garden), which is run by Valentina Barbavara who, with the help of Specialist Oncologist Franco Berrino and Nutritional Consultant Elena Alquati, some time ago introduced a vegetarian menu that has become very popular both with parents and with their children.

The eternal debt

L’evoluzione del capitalismo si chiama “creditocrazia”.
The evolution of capitalism is called “creditocracy”.

In sostanza il capitale è diventato solo un tramite, attraverso il prestito, per creare un debito e guadagnare sugli interessi e la permanenza di questo il più a lungo possibile nel tempo.
Basically capital has become just a way of providing a loan to create debt so that money can be earned on the interest payments – and the hope is that the interest payments last for as long as possible.

Per chi presta il capitale, l’obiettivo non è l’estinzione del prestito, ma il continuo ritorno degli interessi.
For anyone lending capital, the aim is not to see the loan paid off, but to have the constant inflow of interst payments.

Il debito eterno è il miglior investimento possibile .
The eternal debt is the best possible investment.

Vivi di rendita, di strozzinaggio a norma di legge.
You live on the income, you live on legalised usury.

Land for cultivating crops and raising livestock is a finite resource and the race to get hold of pieces of land, water and animals is already in full swing, with China grabbing the lion’s share.

Il grande gioco del cibo è in atto, chi rimane fuori è perduto.
The big food game is already going full speed ahead and anyone who is left out at this stage is lost.

Il licenziamento risale al Giugno 2013 ed è avvenuto nell’ambito di un licenziamento collettivo che ha riguardato 100 operatori della sede di Genova che ha cessato la sua attività.
The sacking happened in June 2013 and it was part of an action affecting 100 operators working in the Genoa office that closed up shop.

L’azienda in questione, la Call & Call ha molte sedi in tutta italia;

Nel 2014 la produzione made in Italy di miele di acacia, castagno, di agrumi e mille fiori è dimezzata, il motivo è semplice: le api stanno morendo.
In 2004, local production of acacia, chestnut, citrus and meadow flower honey in Italy fell by half and the reason for this is very simple: the bees are dying.

Secondo le stime delle organizzazioni degli apicoltori, ogni anno vengono messe nei campi 175mila tonnellate di sostanze chimiche che inquinano e compromettono l’ecosistema in cui le api vivono e si riproducono.
According to estimates released by the beekeepers associations, every year some 175-thousand tons of chemical substances are sprayed onto the fields, substances that pollute and compromise the ecosystem in which the bees live and reproduce.

In Italia ci sono 40mila apicoltori e 12mila produttori apistici che, compreso l’indotto, generano un fatturato che oscilla tra i 57 e i 62 milioni di euro all’anno.
Here in Italy there are some 40-thousand beekeepers and 12-thousand bee-product manufacturers, and if you include all the associated secondary enterprises, together they generate a turnover of somewhere between 57 and 62 million Euro per year.

Il valore del servizio di impollinazione reso all’agricoltura è stimato invece in 2,6 miliardi di euro.
The value of the pollination services provided to the agricultural sector is estimated to run to 2.6 billion Euro .

Quello che rendono all’umanità inestimabile: le api, secondo i dati della FAO, garantiscono l’impollinazione di 71 delle 100 colture che costituiscono il 90% dei prodotti alimentari in tutto il mondo.
What is of inestimable value to mankind instead is that according to the FAO data, bees are responsible for pollinating 71 of the top 100 crops that constitute around 90% of all the foodstuff products worldwide.
