I partiti li accolgono come se fossero stati invitati, ma sono arrivati da soli senza avvisare nessuno.

Sono arrivato a Barcellona per la mia tournée e ho trovato piazza Catalunya piena di ragazzi che chiedevano un cambiamento radicale dell’attuale modello di (sotto) sviluppo e la partecipazione diretta alla democrazia.
I’ve arrived in Barcelona for my tour and I found Piazza Catalunya full of young people asking for radical change to the current model of (under) development and direct participation in democracy.

Ho sentito aria di casa.
I smelled the air of home.

La rivoluzione dolce spagnola è nata a Puerta del Sol a Madrid e si è diffusa subito in tutta la Spagna, da Valencia a Siviglia a Santiago.
The soft Spanish revolution was born in Puerta del Sol in Madrid and it immediately spread to the whole of Spain, from Valencia to Seville to Santiago.

I ragazzi sono chiamati “Los indignados”, gli indignati, ma il loro nome è “Movimiento 15-M”, dal 15 maggio, il giorno in cui è nata la protesta.
The young people are called “Los indignados”, the indignant ones, but their name is “Movimiento 15-M”, from 15 May, the day when the protest got off the ground.

Non si riconoscono in alcun partito.
They do not see themselves in any party.

The contagious warmth of the people in the North just as in the South.

Le adotterei tutte.
I would adopt them all.

Mi sono sentito sicuro, protetto in mezzo a loro, non ho avuto bisogno di nessuna scorta.
I have felt safe and protected in the middle of them. I haven’t needed any body guards.

Il camper che ho preso in prestito ha retto alle migliaia di chilometri macinati di giorno e di notte.
The camper that I borrowed has withstood the thousands of kilometres travelled by day and night.

La mia gola e i miei polmoni hanno resistito, anche se ora sono quasi afono e per gli ultimi incontri ho dovuto usare l’aerosol.
My throat and my lungs have coped, even though I am almost hoarse and for the last few meetings I’ve had to use a spray.

Le piazze piene per ascoltare le mie parole e quelle dei candidati del MoVimento 5 Stelle, i “ragazzini” come li hanno definiti in modo spregiativo le mummie della politica.

In realtà, se stesse fermo per lui non cambierebbe nulla.
In reality, if he stayed still, nothing would change.

Rimarrebbe esattamente dove si trova, ma almeno senza fare fatica e produrre energia tutta la vita per il sistema, che alla ruota è collegato.
He would remain exactly where he is, but at least without getting tired out and producing energy for his whole life for the system that is connected to the wheel.

Si è ormai assuefatto alla ruota, al suo zampettare per pagare le tasse fino a estate inoltrata prima di poter spendere anche un solo euro del suo lavoro e a mantenere una macchina dei parassiti, enorme, di politici, para politici, concessionari e strutture pubbliche di ogni tipo.

Infrangere un tabù è considerato ripugnante e degno di biasimo da parte della comunità.

Referendum nucleare europeo
European nuclear referendum

La Merkel ha dichiarato che “Più presto la Germania uscirà dal nucleare meglio sarà”.
Ms Merkel has declared that “The sooner Germany exits from the nuclear programme the better”.

La Germania ha 17 reattori che saranno spenti con un anticipo di nove anni, nel 2026 e non più nel 2035 come previsto prima di Fukushima.
Germany has 17 reactors that will be turned off nine years early, in 2026 and no longer in 2035 as was the plan before Fukushima.

Nei prossimi tre mesi tutte le centrali tedesche saranno controllate con uno “stress test” e sette reattori saranno spenti per manutenzione e uno definitivamente.
In the next three months, all the German power stations will be subjected to a “stress test” and seven reactors will be turned off for maintenance and one definitively.

Altri cinque saranno disattivati in maggio per controlli.
Another five will be deactivated in May for checking.

Se la matematica non è un’opinione, come vorrebbero i nuclearisti (a proposito qualcuno sta ancora blaterando sul nucleare sicuro di “nuovissima” generazione?), la Germania entro l’estate, una potenza economica mondiale, disporrà solo di 4 reattori (17 – 8 – 5 = 4).

Sono ipnotizzato dalla marea di metallo, macchine, camion, tir, barche.
I have been hypnotised by the tide of metal, cars, trucks, trailers, and boats.

Uniti insieme dallo tsunami.
United together by the tsunami.

Sento il fascino dell’abisso, come quando in sogno cado dall’alto in un precipitare verso l’ignoto, in una dimensione sconosciuta, ma rassicurante.
I feel the fascination of the abyss, like when I fall from a height in my dreams and I fall towards the unknown, in an unknown dimension, but a reassuring one.

Un gigantesco magnete di acqua ha trasformato lamiere e cose in un’onda inconcepibile che sembra formata di spazzatura e che dilaga in modo scomposto, come un’immenso ragno, per i campi e per le città giapponesi e trasforma le strade in fiumi in piena.
A gigantic dynamo of water has transformed sheets of steel and things in an unimaginable wave that seems to be formed of rubbish and that spreads out in a dishevelled way, like a massive spider, across the fields and the cities of Japan and it transforms the roads into rivers in flood.

In una fotografia c’è un gorgo immenso, lo stesso che deve avere immaginato Edgar Allan Poe per il suo racconto “Una discesa nel Maelström”.
In a photo there’s an immense vortex, the one that Edgar Allan Poe must have imagined for his story “A descent into the Maelström”.

Credo che sia venuto il momento di mettere in discussione il senso delle cariche elettive.
I think the time has come to start a discussion about the meaning of elected positions.

Tutte, nessuna esclusa.
All of them, without exception.

Dal deputato al consigliere regionale.
From a Deputy in Parliament to a regional councillor.

Chi è eletto deve fare il mestiere per cui è stato votato.
Anyone who is elected has to do the job that he was elected to do.

Deve svolgere A TEMPO PIENO il suo incarico fino alla fine del mandato.
He has to perform his role FULL TIME until the end of the term of office.

Grillo is back
Grillo is back

Voglio ringraziare tutti coloro che hanno seguito lo spettacolo “Grillo is back”.
I want to thank all those who have been following the show “Grillo is back”.

E’ iniziato a settembre e si è concluso a marzo in Sardegna.
It started in September and it finished in March in Sardinia.

I teatri si sono riempiti per magia, grazie al passaparola.
The theatres filled up like magic, thanks to the spreading of the word.

I giornali non hanno dato il minimo spazio a “Grillo is Back” e, per questa totale mancanza di attenzione li voglio ringraziare.
The newspapers didn’t give “Grillo is back” a minimum of space, and I want to thank them for this almost total lack of attention.

A Milano ho fatto due settimane di esaurito allo Smeraldo, il maggior teatro della città totalmente ignorato dai media.
In Milan I did two weeks of “full house” at the Smeraldo, the most important theatre in the city, totally ignored by the media.

Per i giornalisti non c’ero, eppure ero lì, in carne ed ossa e sudore insieme a voi.
For the journalists, I wasn’t there, and yet I was there in flesh and bone and sweat together with yourselve

“Grillo is back” avrebbe potuto continuare ancora per qualche mese, ma ho bisogno di rifiatare.
“Grillo is back” could have continued for a few more months, but I need to get my breath back.
