Tom Sawyer is a 1930 American drama film directed by John Cromwell.

The screenplay by Grover Jones, William Slavens McNutt, and Sam Mintz is based on the 1876 novel The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain.
La sceneggiatura di Grover Jones, William Slavens McNutt e Sam Mintz è basata sul romanzo “Le avventure di Tom Sawyer” scritto da Mark Twain nel 1876.

The film was the third screen adaptation of the Twain novel, following silent versions released in 1907 and 1917.

Its important features are the pointed arch, the ribbed vault and the flying buttress.
